I mean you *can* buy mek on supports but there's a reason that the only time you see that in a pro game is on a hard-jungling position 4. Mek is an item that is extremely powerful early in the game and just doesn't scale. So you typically see it on a hero that can farm it fast because you can win early fights on its back. But potatodoto thinks "ITEM DOES NOT DO DAMAGE = ITEM IS FOR SUPPORT" so you get a 40 minute mek that does jack shit. | ||

I play clock as a regular laning hero (not support) until level 6 then YOLO initiator ganking mode after that. So I typically end up with a few kills right after lvl 6 and can get Mek fairly early. | ||
