mouse cursor moves when I double click

pretty much in the title

when i double click my mouse (razer naga hex) the cursor moves a little bit
this makes it extremely hard to double click icons

sometimes it moves when i single click

it's driving me nuts

edit:

it does seem to be because of the mouse physically moving. it happens with right click too. and if i use my left hand to hold my mouse in place, I don't have this problem.

I don't have cerebral palsy or anything though. I've used mouses before. It shouldn't be this sensitive right? The sensitivity settings are not that high.

ok for anyone curious i solved the problem

i had to go to the razer software (synapse) and reduce it's DPI sensitivity way down (why does it go so insanely high? are people really capable of using 16000 dpi? settings?)

and then I went to the mouse settings in windows and set pointer speed to max.

Sounds like sensor issue @ high DPI

you probably don't need windows beyond the middle (unmultiplied) setting, though, ~540-2160dpi is a fine range for a 1920x1080 resolution without increasing it by 3.5x in windows. Make sure that you have windows cursor decelleration/accelleration disabled (often called "enhance pointer precision")

so, I am actually still having this issue

it only shows up sometimes
the problem gets worse at higher DPI, but it still happens at 800 DPI

I'd guess the sensor does not like your mouse pad. Try a different one to compare if that's really what's happening.

When I type "razer naga hex sensor" into Google's Image Search, the first result looks to me like a picture of a Philips Twin Eye. In the past versions of that sensor, I remember people recommended to use it with a "hard" mouse pad. I think people reported issues with cloth mouse pads.

About DPI... set the Windows Control Panel mouse speed slider to exactly the middle position (notch 6 of 11 on the slider), then afterwards configure the mouse DPI so that you like the mouse pointer speed. You normally shouldn't use a high mouse DPI setting if a lower DPI setting results in a good speed for you, but I don't know about the Philips Twin Eye. I think that sensor never gets increased latency from high DPI, no matter what you configure there, so you could theoretically do whatever you want with the DPI, and instead reduce speed on the Windows Control Panel speed slider.
