So today i received my GTX 970 and ive been trying to get it to work ever since. I removed my old graphics card (GTX 760) and slotted in the 970. I put in the 8 pin PCI port and put my DVI adapter into the back of the PC where the graphics card is slotted. I turned on my computer, only to find that no signal was being picked up. The MSI GTX 970 showed a LED light which told me that power was getting to the graphics card and so it is very confusing as to why it is not working.
I have hooked my adapter into the cpu's in built GPU and it works fine but for whatever reason, the new graphics card will not be detected. I have tried going into the nvidia control panel but it is not there because the graphics card is not being detected by the PC.
I have tried updating my bios and installing the newest drivers for the GTX 900 series from the nvidia site and i still cant get it to work.
I have 2 monitors because i used dual monitors for my previous gfx card.
PC SPECS:
Asus Extreme 4 Z77 Motherboard
Corsair PSU 750w
Intel i5 3540k cpu
GTX 970 - Not working
my 2 monitors are:
iiyama prolite E2210HDS 60hz
Acer GN246HL 144hz
I have also uploaded 2 images to imgur if anyone can manage to see anything unusual or wrong with how it looks. I can try to take clearer pictures if needed but im literally out of ideas.
Images:
http://i.imgur.com/2M0zlhj.jpg - in this image i show the computer set up with the GTX 970 inside with the power on and the LED light showing on the graphics card.
http://i.imgur.com/xBTaaFK.jpg - this image shows which adapters that i am currently using. The adapter at the left side next to the ethernet cable is being used for this current monitor that im typing on to make this thread. (On board GFX) And the one on the far right is the one that is plugged into the graphics card but is not working or being detected.
Any help will be appreciated as i spent a lot of money on this and its very important to me that i can find some kind of solution.
Thank you.
