PSU burning graphic card...

A month ago my PSU stopped working. Thank God i had a spare one.

Few days ago its back from RMA. Same unit. Supposedly working well without any changes made.

Well it was ok for few hours until it shut down again.
I waited some time. Switched it on, and all it produced was the smoke coming from the HD7950...

So, i dont feel well informed about the subject. Burning card/mobo probably cancels warranty, but what if other part (like PSU) is responsible for this? Can i make a claim or something? Any advices?

Were the 6-Pin Power Plugs for the GPU plugged in correctly? That's the most common way to fry a Graphics card... especially if you use adapters.

I'm thinking that's the cause.

Or perhaps... the wires for the 6-pin Power Plug on the replacement PSU were not arranged correctly.

Here is the schema, take a look at the colors on this and compare it to yours.

Both 8-pin and 6-pin were plugged correctly in both cards (i was running two 7950).
As i pointed out, i suspect power supply unit which is LEPA1000, and was "repaired" month ago.

EDIT: All correct bro and thanks, but im not a noob in the subject. I am a miner

If the wires on replacement psu were wrong, i believe i wouldnt be able to run the system for 2 hours.

My main point was, what are my options if one bad part is damaging others - can i sue a shop or producer, or should i forget about my 300$ for 7950...

Returns and warranties are handled differently by different brands in different countries and sometimes between different staff.

How long ago did you purchase the HD 7950? If it was recent (and even not, depending on situation) I would ask the shop. If not, I would ask the card manufacturer. Regardless of the cause, you have a hardware failure on the graphics card, and smoke and damage isn't supposed to happen, especially immediately, even if the power supply is bad.

Was it G1000-MA or the newer B1000-MB or G1000-MB?

First, you'd probably have to prove that the PSU they repaired was still damaged. That means you need a way of testing all of the voltages. Assuming you've done that and PSU comes up lame, then you can take it back to the manufacturer again and hope they'll do the right thing. Short of taking them to small claims court though, they're not likely to handle more than their warranty covers (i.e. not the other damaged parts).

The card is 4 months old, and it is LEPA G1000-MA :/
