I'm looking to upgrade my computer because I currently have shitty FPS playing FC4 on lowest possible settings. I'm also curious if its ok to keep my current 1.5tb HD or should I just get everything new (Its ~4 years old)? Keeping the HD would prevent me from buying a new copy of Windows 7.
What is your budget? ~1100. Maybe 1200-1300 with Christmas coming up.
What is your monitor's native resolution? 1920x1080
What games do you intend to play on this computer? What settings? LoL, Far Cry 4, The Witcher 3, Path of Exile, any new games that interest me.
What do you intend to use the computer for besides gaming? Music, TV/Movies, Internet Browsing.
Do you intend to overclock? No.
Do you intend to do SLI / Crossfire? No.
Do you need an operating system? Maybe.
Do you need a monitor or any other peripherals and is this part of your budget? No.
If you have any requirements or brand preferences, please specify. Would prefer Intel/Nvidia.
What country will you be buying your parts in? Canada
If you have any retailer preferences, please specify. NCIX because there is a store ~10 minute drive from me.

For what it's worth, since about 2008 or so, Ultra hasn't really released any decent power supplies and is playing the cheapo game mostly with products I wouldn't really recommend you use for anything other than a backup or testing.
The bundle there is $415 before rebate ($350 after rebate), but the cost of the CPU / equivalent motherboard / 1 TB hard drive / 4 GB RAM / equivalent case is just about over $400 in pieces, so it's not a must-buy or anything. The bundle does get you those mail-in rebates and the PSU of questionable worth, though.

Do you mean what are my specs atm or what I could use in the new computer? I would like to build a completely new PC minus my HD if that won't affect it too badly.
As for what I currently have. i5 quad core 750 @ 2.66ghz, nvidia geforce 560 ti, 8gb of RAM, 1.5tb hd,

What you have now. For example, you would definitely be reusing that RAM, saving around $80.
Is there really a reason for a new power supply? If you have a mid-high end model, it should be fine. No need to buy a new DVD drive... not like that costs more than $20 anyway. I guess if you want a new case, you can get that, but that also doesn't exactly require frequent upgrading.
You could keep the hard drive, but it's probably worth upgrading to an SSD on that budget anyway (and by that, I mean to keep the old drive but reinstall on a new one). And perhaps another mechanical drive as a backup.

Ya I got a nice case so I'll reuse it. I guess I just mainly need a new motherboard/processor and a new video card then?
Edit: and an SSD and reinstall windows onto that. Also, I might need a new power supply if I get a higher end GFX card right? I'll have to check and see what mine currently is.
Edit 2: What would you recommend in terms of gfx card, motherboard/processor, ssd?
Edit 3: Is this a good deal? MSI GeForce GTX 770150$ off on a 400$ card sounds like a pretty good deal to me. I can't see where it says how much power supply I'll need for it though.
Edit 4: Thoughts on this processor? ?

i think 970 > 770 for same/similar price from my research though i guess it'll matter on other features. 770's go far less than 300 while 970 is around 350

A big selling point for the 770 is that NCIX has it on sale for 50$ off and MSI is offering 100$ rebate.

A 770 for 250 CAD is definitely a decent deal since 970s are about 400 in canada

I'm really torn between getting something like this bundle now and waiting for black Friday, my biggest problem is that there are so many different parts and models I don't think I'll be able to make a list quickly enough on that Friday.

stuff like that is just a ballpark of what's available. Generally you'll find that prices fluctuate enough that you basically just pick whatever components are on sale the day you choose to buy everything
It seems like you want a midrange i5 (150-200) SSD (70-100) 500-600W PSU (~50) Some Case (50-100) ~250 ish GPU, (~250) 8G of DDR3 RAM (70-100) Some HD (50-100) Windows (~70)

How difficult is it to replace your PSU? I have a feeling I'm going to need a new one for the gtx 770.
Edit: Also, what are your guys' thoughts on the geForce GTX 760? How much of a difference is there between that and the 770. I ask because it has a minimum PSU of 500W which is the same as the card I currently have, whereas the 770 has a minimum PSU of 600W. I'm worried if I buy the 770 I'll have to replace my PSU as well.

Ok guys, tell me where can I save money without losing much power? I want to stream mostly SC2 (LotV as well!!) with it. Maybe some LoL/CS:GO too. In addition it would be nice if I can play some newish single player games on it, but focus is on playing and streaming SC2.

with both at oc, 970 is like ~1.65x faster with similar power consumption and twice as much VRAM. If it's 250 vs 400 then i'd consider a 760 because i don't think 770 is worthy of high tier price points especially now.

Ignore PSU recommendations. 770 at max OC struggles to pull 200 watts and it's more than fine with any stock Intel CPU on a 450w PSU.

There isn't any reason to get an i7 over an i5 for gaming (even with streaming). Also, unless you OC the stock CPU fans are enough (at least on the i5). Unless you specifically want Nvidia, AMD gpus are usually cheaper (depends what you can find for an r9 280).
10% cheaper without performance drop http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/MDVkzy

make sure to get an i7-4790k so that you can overclock
€56 for a CX PSU is a rip-off, just get this one, 450W is more than enough for your rig: http://www.amazon.de/XFX-P1-450S-X2B9-Edition-Wired-PC-Netzteil/dp/B005FPT38U/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1416565581&sr=1-3&keywords=xfx 450w
better caps, better PSU overall, same price.
I don't much about that case but I don't think it's a great case. my advice on the case: + Show Spoiler +
I don't know how good kingston SSDs are, so I won't comment on that, though in your place I would get a crucial mx100.
windows 8.1 seems a bit expensive at €125. maybe check ms's site (i think students get discounts) or something to be sure but I think that you could probably find windows cheaper somewhere else.
Edit: for i5 vs i7, well for streaming the extra hyper-threading can help. for gaming, no, indeed the i7 isn't better than the i5. it's indeed true that you're paying a hefty premium just to get the hyper-threading. essentially what hyper-threading does is make one physical CPU core act like two virtual CPU cores. so tasks that are well threaded (video encoding is one of those tasks for example), hyperthreading can get you up to 20% more performance. there are a few games that take advantage of hyper-threading however LoL, CS:GO and SC2 aren't among them. crysis 3 and BF4 do.
if the machine weren't made with streaming in mind, i would have also advised getting an i5. you can still stream quite well with an overclocked i5 4690k at 1080p30 or even 1080p60, I guess.
nvidia drivers at the moment also tax less of the CPU's resources than AMD cards do. if you're going to stream you need CPU power so getting an nvidia card isn't a bad call. something to consider. the R9 280 is good, bang for buck though last time i checked. if price / performance of the R9 280 is better than the GTX 760, it's the better card to get in GPU bound games.

1; you selected 4790 instead of 4790k (you need K cpu for overclocking) - either way, drop to 4690k there.
Hyperthreading is very expensive considering it won't give you more FPS in sc2/CSGO, yet it adds a lot of money to the CPU cost and a not insignificant amount to cooler budget to run it at the same temperatures and overclock as i5

1; different cpu 2; different PSU, similar price and much better 3; different case, 10 euro cheaper with 2 fans instead of 1, if you want to keep the old one it's better to add some extra fans to it because a single exhaust fan isn't very good 4; much better SSD, if you're going to have it for probably 5+ years you'd regret buying a worse one. The v300 wasn't only not at the top of the pack for ssd performance and other stuff, it was involved in some drama with kingston shipping review copies, and then switching production to a lower performing type of NAND without telling people under the same model name 5; RAM to 2133c9 because it was a marginal price increase and both sc2 and the source engine (CSGO) have shown notable responses to increased RAM performance (as much as running CPU ~100-400mhz higher) 6; 125 euro for windows off the list, because you can obtain that in other ways if 125 is a lot of money to you and you are resourceful
