I really don't mind none for SC (what do you use yours for btw?), but FPS games is where 4+5th buttons would be actually useful. Also, somewhat unrelated but lol I just bought a WMO, couldn't help myself I guess. this mouse looks really nice to me. Very simple and minimalistic but I'm one of the persons who needs two thumb buttons for sc2 ^.^ . So I will stay with my g500 ^^ ![]()

I think you also reviewed a Roccat Pyra once, which is what I am using atm, what do you think of the G100s in comparison to the Pyra?

And no, I would say the 100s is a decent mouse in general. Not utterly phenomenal as the build is from other reports varying a bit across the user-base (some people have really squeaky wheels, I don't, some have no issues with travel distance of the main switches, I do). So It's fairly good, just not one that people will be ravenous about for years to come (the way people talk about the Deathadder or original G1 or WMO). Having owned more high end Logitech mice previously I wouldn't have minded shelling out a little more for something that felt a little more developed, but this honestly is a minor quip. Take this for what you will though, I'm a rather discerning customer so what I think of as adequate might equate to 'OMFG THIS IS SO AWWESOME!!!" by someone else. ![]()

*That vid is not me, but i am quite good now and looking to improve. I can score ~95-96% at best on that map Coming from deathadder 3.5g, love the sensor qualities but i find the shape of the mouse awkward and hard to control, particularly when chaotically changing direction at high speeds (like in that video..) I think it might be just too big+long for me, and the center of gravity seems pretty weird, there's too much weight at the front, a lot more weight on the left side and it's impossible to grip in some ways or harder in others due to the slippery plastic on every centimeter of the mouse that you would actually want to grip, so i'd like new experiences to see if there is anything better out there, Deathadder just doesn't seem designed for 630dpi. I havn't used any other half decent mouse before (my other experiences were $5 mice, and a steelseries WoW mouse which has an awful sensor i can't even begin to use now, massive positive acceleration and malfunctions when i snap mouse from screen to screen, nevermind my gameplay speeds) so i don't really know what to expect, should i buy this mouse? I was also looking at the CM Spawn Storm, but i think it had a few weird issues, need to look more into what they were + Show Spoiler + edit: Another osu vid. This map is a killer for being able to grip and control mouse properly All of the youtube vids of people with decent scores are using tablets + pen's for "mouse" tracking, because they can't do it otherwise =P ^This map also chokes me out, you can probably see why. I want to improve mouse grip and get a size/shape/weight that works for me, because it feels like it might be holding me back a lot at this point Osu is more of a mouse practice thing for me than a focus, but it really helps massively, and exposes problems with mouse use very quickly. Maps like that last one i linked are just flat out impossible without great settings, grip, and near perfect control

Anyway, for FPS the amount of malfunctioning you experience will be dependent on how fast you swipe, so if you use 750 and 1 sens you might be ok (that setting is pretty much fine for %75 use at least, rough estimate). For 2d environments, the sensor will track just fine. I am on a 1920x1200 using 750cpi and I don't have any issues (apart from the mechanical ones I had).I play Osu* + Show Spoiler + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AojmUJ_T0Dw *That vid is not me, but i am quite good now and looking to improve. Maps like that last one i linked are just flat out impossible without great settings, grip, and near perfect control You're probably going to have to just bite the bullet tho and start experimenting with different shapes and mice, and if so then I would say definitely give this a try if you have the cash to expend on it (or...wait for Aurora, but that's a gamble as who knows if bst will hit his Aug 1 mark or not). If money is tighter I might look at more options first but ultimately I can't really speak for you as shape is really preferential. Oh, also go to OCN, CM just released a new firmware for the Spawn just yesterday. Edit: grs, USA was the first market to get the new G-series, with Europe soon afterwards, so It'll probably be soon. Double edit: also CM hinted they would have a WMO-like or AM/FK-like mouse in the works. Dunno how pressing this is for you. Also ttesports is working with Tastosis on peripherals so at some point we'll see what they've got there as well.
