I've tried everything I could: Reinstalling, shutting off Firewall, moving the folder to Program Files, deleted cache, etc, but the game still doesn't work properly. When I press "play" from the launcher, the game doesn't pop up. I have to go to Windows Task Manager to shut it off from the process. And when I do that, the error message pops up. It's not descriptive at all, so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot from here.

I am so stumped. Please help!

Something to note: I tried to play the game on the guest account, and it works. I'm not sure why it doesn't work on the main/admin account. I've tried run the program as admin, but it doesn't work.

I'm not one to suggest solutions, but your message is coming off as a bit unclear to me (and maybe just me). Do you have the starter edition and retail SC2 clients installed? Because you just wrote that you can log into your "guest account", but not your main. Therefore if you could log into your guest account, your client must be working? Anyways have you tried putting SC2 on a flash drive and using it on a different computer? That may help you determine whether its your files or the computer that is causing the issue at hand.

I have the retail edition. By guest account I meant the one that's for Windows.

This is going to sound weird but try relocalizing using this: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=357860
I was getting kicked from load screen when I searched for a game, this fixed it for me. I know the two problems aren't related but I didn't think relocalizing would fix my game either.

Hey Reverance, I'm having the exact same problem! Extremely frustrating... It ran perfectly on my shitty laptop, put together a new beastly machine and it doesn't run. Every other game I play runs with no problems.

I saw a post similar to this one, try going
Program Files -> StarcraftII > Mods > Delete Challenges.SC2Mod
then try to run Sc2 again.

you should contact blizzard support. Fixing your problem for afar here in this forum seems highly unlikely.

The problem is, I've already contacted the Blizzard Support, and they can't even help me.

I had this problem once. Did you try individually deleting the files in the separate mods folders? Then clicking back and letting the downloader redownload them?

So you start with
LibertyMulti.SC2Mod and delete everything inside while leaving the folder and try to run SCII...
then
Liberty.SC2Mod (I tried leaving the 2 GB file first and then it was already fixed (nobody wants to download 2 GB again...))
then
Core.SC2Mod

the path to the mods folder on my computer: C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Mods
hopefully this helps...

blizzard cant do anything they say only and i have this error now since 3 days ... after 2 years playing and now all my games crash like that

anyone any idea ?
