I have tried a different player, but I get the same result. Anyone have ideas or might have had the same issue? Thanks.

I've never had the sound cut out on mine when the screen goes black like that. Maybe the sound on your end is playing from the TV when you slide the media player over? My setup is two gts 250s each running a 22" monitor at 1920x1080 native resolutions.

Might even be a DVD specific thing, does it happen with other videos?

MPC worked after the reinitialize was unchecked; however, I can't seem to make it go full screen because to the right it creates a still image of the video. Yes it still happens when playing normal video files.

http://cccp-project.net/ You say the media player screen goes black and the sound stops when you drag it over to the 32", have you tried moving the media player over to the 32" before launching the video?

Haven't tried CCCP yet. Will update you when I do. Yes I have tried that. I can launch WMP and place it on the 32'' as long as it is just the player. When I select the video file to play--either from the dvd drive or a file on the computer--it then goes black.
