Some were even from this forum but yet no one had a solution. I imagine a fix must hace come by now and Some of you liquidors must have come across this -Play for 30m-1Hr straight -Will crash guaranteed after that time frame with a "core: out of memmory msg" How to fix? I think this belongs in the Tech Support forum. I personally haven't had this problem and I leave SC2 on all day. What are your specs?

Not sure but I think that's the GPU memory. Probably your graphic card, either check drivers or try a different card good luck Edit: And yes I think this should be in tech support?

Your video card is likely allocating from the system memory leaving SC2 with little to work with. Look in your system properties (Windows + Pause) to see how much usable RAM you have. ty. any actually hard solutions though? and the window + pause doesn't work. im assuming u mean the insert key? (has pause in red text). im on a laptop btw so it might be different edit: i right click properties'd my my computer icon, it displayers 3.16 available is this good? (im on windows 7)

You have 4GB memory, but you are using integrated graphics, which also uses that same pool of memory. I just tested on my computer (this is on all max settings though so...) SC2 used 2GB RAM from 1 game, bringing my total usage up to 4.46GB, and this is with a dedicated video card that has it's own 1GB memory to use. I think the solution is to just buy more ram ;D Luckily that's pretty cheap on the interwebs. INstead of windows+pause, just click the start button and right click on Computer and click on properties, it brings you to the same screen.

the concensus here is that if you're getting the core: out of memory error, you either don't have enough RAM or you're on 32 bit windows and your computer wont recognize more than 4 (probably around 3.2ish will be actually used). solutions: -upgrade to 64 bit if you have more than 4 g of ram for those like me who did not/can not upgrade to 64 bit, i've found a minor (annoying) solution. -Put everything in game on loweset possible including resolution -Disable sound from within starcraft, not just speakers -Disable voice -Go into your GPU driver control system (if u have ATI catalyst, if u have nVidia GeForce or w/e) and further lower the "3D" graphics settings all the way for performance -idk if this helped but i did it, right click my computer, properties, advanced system settings, advanced tab, click on settings under performance, advanced tab, click on virtual memory, uncheck automatic and for custom size make ur initial/max 2.5x your memory in mb's (if u have 3 gigs this should be 75000) -disable ALL your unnecessary programs on task manager. -Start sc2 and play. -There is one essential rule, read below I Managed to play every single game i wanted without crashing disregarding the length/map. What this basically did was lower my total RAM usage (during sc2 peak minutes) from like 90%+ of all mem used, to a stable 55~ during peak at all times. Notice the trend here? SC2 uses a lot of memory to handle all the units, and it crashes when it runs out of memory to use up, in this case, around the 90 pc+ mark. you need to keep it low. I did some testing and this is exacaatly what happens. When you first load up sc2 it'll use a moderate amount of RAM. WHen you enter a game it'll immediately spike up about 20-30 pc (if u have a similar set up to mine, ur total mem being used will jump from 40 percent in menues, to 50 percent in game). If the game is long and 200/200 is reached a lot, the ram will spike up but not much. The most a game for me has ever gotten to is 58pc ram used. Usually it'll stay under 55. Now here's the interesting part. Remeber i said that it was 40 percent at start up?. After you finish a game, the peak memory will REMAIN as high as it was. In my case i'll stay at 55 pc. It does not dump that when u exit the match. Then you join a match and it continues to jump which is why a lot of you crashed within an hour+. So, The rule is to keep a tab on your total memory usage. If the peak of your first game is close to 60, i recommend restarting the game as this will re dump all that memory. It's annoying, i know, but it's the ONLY way i have found to 100 percent play this game without getting owned by core. You can usually get away with playing two maybe even 3 games in a row, but in aldder i wouldnt risk it. You need a break between matches anyways so g'ahead and restart every game =D. I would appreciate if you guys bumped some old bnet threads with this issue (there are TONS of them) because i got banned from it a long ass time ago. Spread the word!

Unless you're running a custom map that simply loads too much stuff, it's probably a bug in the new resource management code.

I have i5 3570k (3.9ghz) GTX 670 8gb ram MSI Z77A-G43 I have looked around at solutions. I have tried manually setting memory higher like in the video. I have narrowed the problem down to the Physical memory "cached" does not reset, it gets filled and my "free" memory goes to 0. Restarting my computer refills my free physical memory to 6600mb, and my chached is 0, but after using my computer for 3 hours its performance crashes. My computer when I first got It (august/2012)I could run 2 1080p videos and sc2 on ultra while streaming and my cpu temp wouldn't even raise higher than 50 C. Now if I play a video and Sc2 on medium I get this warning nad my comp Freezes and I have to restart it every 3 hours if i am watching tv or playing video games. Are there any other solutions? I have the latest drivers for all my hardware, and my core temps are still the same low temps. I have tried manually setting memory and it still occurs. Edit: windows 7, 64bit
