Can't Disable Macbook Pro F-Keys for SC2

swargula United States11 Posts July 01 2012 14:54 GMT #1 I have been playing SC2 on a 15" macbook pro since season 1 and even though I have the "disable OS commands" box in the gameplay options checked, everytime I hit F1-F12 it will run the OS command. I think my above description is clear but I will give an explanation. If I wish to set a screen location point using my hotkeys as F1-F5 it will just do the F commands for my snow leopard operating system. If I hit F1 it will darken my screen instead of setting the in game command. I am unaware of what else I can do to change this. I am also quite sure that I have the universal access under the OS preferences on the correct thing as well.

I really doubt that he would have created a thread if he wasn't sure. I really have no good advice either but I guess you could try restarting with those options enabled on the off chance you haven't done that already.

zuqbu Germany797 Posts July 03 2012 07:59 GMT #4 you're quite sure you selected the correct settings? double-check the keyboard preferences, the option is called something like "use f1, f2… as standard keys". make sure that's activated. if that didn't help, try keyremap: http://pqrs.org/macosx/keyremap4macbook/ this is a preference pane that lets you switch and configure keys at your will. i use this for example because i can't stand the placement of the lower left control key, so i switched it with the FN key.
