How to convert Mouse dpi > SC2 sensitivity?

I'm very used to my current settings:
1800 dpi (no mouse accel)
70% in game sc2 sensitivity, 1920x1080
7/11 windows mouse settings

I want to buy a mouse (Zowie Mico) that only has 400/800/1600 dpi setting (I would use 1600)

So my question is, how much would I turn up the in-game SC2 sensitivity to make up for the -200 mouse dpi to get the exact same mouse sensitivity as before? i.e is there some known dpi value for each % of ingame sc2 sensitivity?

If this is not possible (to convert it near-exactly) then I'll probably just stick with my current mouse cause I am WAY too used to 1800 dpi (used it for years).

From what I have measured, with no acceleration, halving the in game sensitivity seems to quarter the distance your mouse will travel on screen for the same distance traveled on the mouse pad. This seems to imply that a change to the in game sensitivity will result in the square of apparent dpi change.

(here is the math[s] )
1600/1800 = 8/9
square root 8/9 = 0.9428
70/0.9428 = 74.246

I believe that an in-game sensitivity of 74 and the new mouse should feel very similar to your settings on your old mouse

Not only is he completely wrong but you might as well keep your setting or get used to 1:1 ratio since the difference in dpi is negligible.

It would be better to get a mouse that has a completely adjustable dpi setting (mine does for example) and a good sensor, then calculate the dpi for the same sentivity without pixel skipping (1:1 in sc2 and 6/11 in windows). Once you go to 6/11 and customisable dpi, you never go back.

I second Rollin's opinion. There are many good mice out there with fully customisable DPI. I have used a Sentinel Advance for long enough that my ring has worn a grove into it and have no problem with it.

Mico doesn't function properly @ 1600 dpi(jittering). Use 800 dpi :-).

the mico is completely fine for me at 1600, maybe yours is fucked?

I say your best bet is to just mess around with the settings in game when you get the mouse to find what feels best

Its a known issue. Try drawing circles in paint with 1600 dpi and then 800. You'll see a big difference in jitter =).

Can't you just keep adjusting the slider until you find a comfortable % setting? You only dropped 200 dpi so I would assume there would only be a slight % difference.

of course, assuming you keep everything else the same...7/11, etc.

on a side note, how does the mico compare to the logitech g1...in size and mouse button click sensitivity?
