A quick check you can do is to touch the heatsink when the temperature monitor is showing such high values. If the heatsink is not installed properly, it shouldn't feel very hot (since it's not conducting much heat away from the CPU).

I do find it a bit odd that you say it goes to 100 degrees and you don't notice it affecting gameplay. How are you reading the temperatures and can you post your specs as well?

If you're using your own thermal paste, be careful not to apply too much.

2) 100C load temps (not even full load) is incredibly bad, as many others have said, you need to reseat your fan, I'm assuming you're using the stock? 3) Do not play until you get this fixed unless you want to run the risk of your CPU dieing/ being severely damaged. 4) Reapply thermal paste, make sure you use a "pea drop" when applying. Pretty much just mimicking everybody else's words but id say 3 is the most important.

That being said the airflow (or whatever measure in HWMonitor says) is usually around 27-30. Are these readings accurate and acceptable, or is it even possible to get lower temps with a laptop except for running it in a freezer? As Skyr said, if your load temperatures is under dangerous limits, it's doesn't really matter what the idle temperatures are. Idle temperaturs is more useful as an indication of change in performance (like if you used to be at 30 and suddenly find yourself at 50 etc). Your temperatures aren't great but they are ok for an laptop as they obviously tend to have worse cooling than desktops. You could always try to clean all fans and such as dust tend to clog them up after some time. I know some people put their laptops on fans or cooling pads to get the temperatures down if it starts to get really hot.

I didn't want to freak myself out with the temperatures and have this feeling that every time I use it, it's gonna blow up or something, haha. You will see signs before your parts are damaged by overheating BSOD, crashes, slow running etc..

And be careful with what your program is telling you are temps. Using RealTemp for example, if you set TJMax to 200 degrees then you'll instantly be told your temps are 100 degrees over what they are meant to be. So be careful with the program (Speedfan also pretty good at telling you the temp of everything). Can you set a more aggressive fan profile in BIOS? And to add, I wouldn't worry about temps too too much UNLESS your comp actually shuts itself down. Most CPU's will automatically shut down the comp at 100 degrees, if you don't believe me take off the heatsink and turn on the comp for 15 seconds (But don't put your finger on the CPU, it hurts)

Also, it's kinda stupid to measure idle temps for several reasons. Your ambient temperature is affecting it, so where you live matters. Also, the sensors are only made for measuring correctly at 90C, idle temps are usually VERY FAR from being correct.
