Unless you see people streaming 4.5mb/s higher. 1080p is defined as having 1080 rows of vertical pixels and being progressive scan, not as a 5mbit encoded video. Xsplit doesnt even use h264 anyway, it uses variable bitrate with x264, which is a newer and quite different codec. Guessing you read the other thread that had the (wrong) discussion about that? If you give it a static screen or a webpage etc that hasnt been moved for a while, xsplit will produce a pixel perfect (or very very close to) 30fps stream of it with the right settings without going near 1000kbit up sustained, much better quality than say a starcraft 2 stream at 10k bitrate that is showing a moving scene.

![]() you need to turn the quality to 5 or lower 2300 isnt that much bitrate, maybe go for 3000 or 3500 maybe try 20 fps too instead of 25 just keep lowering all the settings until it doesn't lag, then see how much higher you can go without lag

1500 should be maximum to ensure most viewers can watch without lag, that beeing said. With that kind of low bitrate people wont see any different between 720P and 1080P. Also there seems to be some performance issues with xsplit and 1080P. FMLE actually runs 1080P better than Xsplit. (Destiny also using FMLE)

I completely agree and have mentioned this to Boblhead before. His definition of a certain bitrate on a variable stream with variable contents doesn't make sense. That I do not agree on. x264 is a free software library for encoding video streams into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format. Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X264

The thread ended like yesterday either way, but people are still posting after reading just the OP so i guess it will continue being bumped
