Hi all! I'm trying to stream Starcraft II with the resolution of 1920x1080.
I've been reading all the guides on Teamliquid and probably 10-20 others on forums across the internet :-(
As i'm a really streaming noob I havent found a reason or a solution to my problem.

My problem:

I have no idea what settings I should use for a crisp 1920x1080 Stream.
I feel like I've tried every setting I possibly could, but obviously i havent because my setup should do it fine. I THINK.. That's why i need your help. What settings should I use? And If I do a crisp 1080p stream. Will people be able to watch it? As I'm not a twitch.tv partner so the viewers cant change the resolution.

EDIT: I cant stream 1080p without it either lagging or viewer complaint of stuttering.. And would I be able to play full settings while streaming?

I use Xsplit without FME because as I said I'm a stream noob and could not figure out how to setup it. even with Destiny's (and some other random dude) guide..

My setup:

CPU: i7 2600k @ Stock with a corsair h50 cooler.
Graphic's card: 2 gtx 480 SLI
Monitor resolution: 1920x1080
Ram:Corsair 16 Gb 1600 (I think its 1600 mhz)
HardDrive: 2x 2 1Terrabyte Raid 0

My Bandwith tested with server in Amsterdam. ( I live in Norway )

As allways I'm thankful for any replies I can get!

What exactly is the problem? Are you asking for xsplit settings? Is the game lagging?

It takes some time to work out the exact settings, Try quality 8. 1400 max bitrate. 4000 vbv buffer. Also know that it's very tough for a single PC to stream at 1080p all tournaments use 2 PC's 1 with the game running, 1 with xsplit.

If your settings work out and your FPS works (above 25 all the time) (ctrl + alt + f to show FPS in sc2) you can assume it's good. Make sure to also check your bitrate, is it at 1400ish? If you see your xsplit outgoing bandwith is only 400kbs, something might be up with your internet.

Feel free to PM me, we can run some tests together.

I'll test that and get back to you, but isnt that very low for a 1080p stream?

Like I said, just keep on trying and find what works best for you. It indeed is a little low.

1080p is 3000-5000kbps under h264 codec, anything under that isnt 1080.

Try 3000kbps, with 24 fps. 10 quality, and 128kbps for audio, set your location to London Primary

if you feel for it you can OC if your not happy with your pcs performance, OC will in almost everycase improve your stuttering/ streams stuttering.

Not quite that simple as I've tried alot of settings but its not like whenever i start my stream there is a viewer who can comment quality etc.

Amsterdam doesnt show up under mine, but I would try both if your getting the amsterdam option. Overclocking is extremely easy, don't be intimidated by it at all.

There are guides that will be best for you, and when you get it overclocked, you can ask questions on tweaking settings, or reading threads on websites such as overclockers.net n what not.

Who convinced you to get a 2600K and a H50 without telling you about overclocking? What did they tell you?

Sorry, I know the issue has been solved but I must ask... if only to motivate the OP to consider the reason for his purchases in the future....

Wanted to give you a quick update. I streamed my first tournament with the 2600k yesterday.

Setup:
8gb memmory 1666mhz
6950 2GB
2600k overclocked to 4.01ghz. (turned turbo boost off)
Normal HDD 1TB 7200RPM
Scythe Mugen 2 REV B

Stream settings:
1080p
30fps

FPS never dipped down below 30 while running Ultra graphics.

http://nl.twitch.tv/playhemtv/b/301144424 Looks like this. I will probably up the bandwith by another 100/200 soon.

I know you didn't post here with a problem. Still I'd like to comment on your settings.
Several things strikes me that can be improved:
Location: Use a named server - like Amsterdam or London.
Preset: Most definetely change this to seriously improve quality. You have one of the most powerful CPUs available, and I'll bet you never hit 60% usage right now. Set the preset to "medium" or "fast" (first one is more intensive than the latter). Keep increasing this until your CPU hits 85-90% while streaming a 200/200 food action-packed SC2 replay.
Bitrate: 3000-5000 would be more appropriate if your selected server can keep up.
Quality: Set to 10.
Audio: Turn bitrate up to at least 128.000 bit/s

how can you make sure that you're on h264 codec? Codec doesnt seem to be changable in xsplit

You are always using h264 for video in XSplit. I believe what Boblhead hints at, is the required bitrate for something to be called "1080p". But given that XSplit uses variable bitrate and that the bandwidth used depends on the content of the frames, I really don't think that loose a definition can be used. There's also a huge difference in Destiny's and TLO's streams, but both are listed as 1080p streams. It really doesn't matter though - if you and the viewers are happy with your stream it's all good. For further reading I'll just leave these here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H264).
