Any real blizzard email will never ask for your account details and will probably not use links if asking you to check your account. Please tell me you didn't follow the link and try to log in.......

www.google.com It looks like google, but I'm sending you to youtube. That's how they get you. If you look at the actual link by hovering your mouse over it (DO NOT CLICK), you'll see in the bottom of your screen it'll say like battle.net-com.net or something stupid like that, most likely involving a lot of hyphens in my experience. It's very interesting and sad because I get them on my e-mail account that isn't even registered with Battle.net. And as others have said, there are zero circumstances where any legitimate company will ask for your account details in an e-mail. When your account is banned or suspended, the game will not open for you and you'll be asked in the game client to visit the Support section of their website. From their Support section you can yourself find how to make an Account Inquiry or something of the nature to appeal the decision. You will never receive an e-mail unless it's for promotions and you will never be linked to a page where you can enter your password.

Go to http://www.ip-address.org/ and trace email, copy&paste the source to the blue box and it'll track where the email came from. Not sure how to block the specific sender and if anyone knows I would like know, thanks.

The real ones do not ask for your account Password as that information is irrelavent to the investigations they do for this type of thing. I play WoW, I get 2-3 of these a day usually, Worst thing Blizzard ever did was take away personal account names to log on WoW and force people to use their fucking emails, So stupid. Anyways just disregard it and anything like it you get in the future, Fake fake fake.

Well that is - I heard that there are ways to fake that and you need to look at something to know the real address (forgot what exactly though) but I remember seeing it on the WoW forums or so. Best thing is if it ever links to a site or asks for your password or w/e, never respond. Also if you want to be sure then just "manually" type out battle.net and then log into account to ese if everything is okay.

In these cases the Account Administration team will require faxed receipt of ID materials before releasing the account for play. Regards, The Battle.net Support Team Blizzard Entertainment www.blizzard.com/support Online Privacy Polic McAfree and Google Chrome both detect it as phishing, but the funny thing is I clicked on the link (did not login obviously) and it looks exactly like the normal Battle.net site, with create account, account settings, etc. The email is from noreply@blizzard.com, is this real or fake? This is the link it gives you in the email: http://www.battle.net.en-safe-worldofwarcraft.com/login/en/login.asp?ref=https://us.battle.net/account/management/beta-profile.xml&app=bam Chrome and MacAFree detects it as phishing.

Also as for the email - Yep so that seems to be an example of them somehow faking their return address? I'm not too familiar with email stuff but there is a way to look at the real return address but I forgot how. Best thing to always do is to "never click any links in email" and just type things manually.
