Razer abbysus or razer salmosa

hi guys,
i want buy new mouse and search fingertip mouse
so i did research and found two light mouses that was suitable for my grip style
Razer salmosa and razer abyssus
there are not much difference between the two
salmosa is older and have some pointer enchancement is bad but not really a problem for sc2 and have 3g sensor
abyssus have 3.5 g sensor and have some jitter on cloth pads

so witch is better to buy and why?

and i also want to buy mousepad i was thinking of the razer goliathus control is it good pad..

I've never had an Abyssus but the Salmosa is the best mouse I've ever used. I love it!

Everyone has different preferences.

Go to a store, and try them out; buy the one that feels better.

Salmosa has a better shape for finger grip although I like the g9x more than both. I'm thinking of trying the kinzu too.

RTS games like Starcraft 1/2 don't really demand much of a mouse. As long as you turn on "enhance mouse precision" in windows and use a medium or low sensitivity you are fine with ANY gaming mouse.

It's a matter of taste and personal preference; also, there literally are dozens of threads about mice and specifically Razer products in the Tech subforum. If you're unsure about what mouse to get, don't listen to stuff on the internet, check out a local retailer instead and actually take some mice into your hands to see if you'll like them.

I was under the impression that most people turn off enhance mouse precision for Starcraft because it is essentially mouse acceleration. There's a few threads on this, one being: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=156685

Any comments on this as I may be misinformed would be appreciated.

I believe Ret uses this combo as well, so it is a safe buy if you decided to go for it.

Yep mouse acceleration blows for SC2.

More on topic - I have owned/used both extensively (1+ year). The Abyssus really is just an updated Salmosa - if I recall correctly, the dimensions are nearly exactly identical, with the exception that the top hump on the Abyssus is 2mm higher than said hump on the Salmosa. Overall, the difference is really hard to tell, but I would give a slight edge to the Abyssus just because the overall feel seems a little "better" in the sense that I can move faster yet still accurately.
