It was more in reference of paying attention to heat warnings, not the specific value of 80 I'm very aware that the GT9800 is not a proccesor

Like I think it was yesterday, when someone brought up a CPU bottlenecked benchmark to demonstrate that better GPU's beyond a certain point don't help in SC2. Unfortunately, the thread was about CPU's, and they were responding to the benchmark I linked showing how much difference a CPU OC can and does make in SC2...

Didn't you get warned for "freaking out" hahaha

Not for that one. I got warned for saying something stupid was stupid in an overly colorful way.

Pretty sure it wasn't me, my ego is out of control, so I usually check posts like that to see if they end up getting moderated later. My only real saving grace is that my accuracy is high enough to make up for my ego mostly. Oh wait, for saying trololol when someone said not to use integrated stuff and I said integrated LAN and Sound are usually perfectly fine for most people? That's a totally different reason, trololol is banworthy no matter what or who you say it to I think.

Streaming SC2 will fully tax all 4 cores, so I would believe stock clocks would have an average in the low to mid 50's. While 60C is a touch higher than expected, it's fine. Even more so if his ambient is closer to 26-28C's, which is a realistic summer time ambient temp. Yup found the OP's post from another thread: + Show Spoiler + Given that he idles in the SC2 lobby at 37-40C's, 62 is just fine.

If I got 60C with no overclock I would be worried.

Well, if your temps started climbing significantly for no obvious reason, that would be cause for worry. However, if they're doing what they always do and the temps are that level, it isn't a reason to freak out. Conditions, circumstances, and individual chips matter quite a bit.

You live in Sweden, chances are your ambient temperature is extremely low. On a stock cooler with a decent amount of load, you are probably looking at the 50s or low 60s anywhere where weather can get pretty hot. Hardware temperatures are close to useless without the given ambient temperature.
