I managed to get back into the command line safe mode via a restore point and I've already uninstalled the Intel driver (and all other video drivers at this point).

I'm up to it failing at 1 sec after select user after last loading VMkdb.sys

Is there any program out there that allows you to add audio to a video without fucking up its quality?

Using obs I have some nice footage but once you use windows media player for example to add audio that quality just goes to shit

MeGUI has a remux function that does not re-encode anything afaik.. as well as having video and audio encoder interface (x264, some other encoders)

My laptop's fan has broken. Is there a simple way I can tell if a particular fan I find online will work? Do most fans work in most computers? Or do I need exactly the right model?

I probably just need a screwdriver that does the screws on the bottom of my laptop to fix it (along with a fan that fits), right?

How should I clean dust from a radiator without any sort of compressed air (no air compressor / metro vacuum)?
Owned a Corsair H50 for > 4 years, never clean it once. Idle temps are high 60's C.

Couldn't you just buy some compressed air? A can is like $5.

My radiator was pretty thick with dust and causing excessive fan speeds to cool after just a year of use uncleaned.

Aaand this is why I went with a case that has filters. (Arc Midi R2.) Even then, while taking my GPU out to RMA it, I found a dead palmetto bug (smallish, only half an inch). Still trying to figure out how the bastard got in there - there are no uncovered openings that it could fit through.

SC2 latency problem

I have been having ~120 FPS in game on lowest settings after following b.net forums' optimization guide. Previously it was around 70; it is now back at 70, also with noticeable latency between actions. Anyone know what I can do?

I am also using a usb wireless adapter aswell as a wireless headset that Im having plugged in incase of interference. No other hardware changes

my room is in the attic, one side of the walls is the only one that has windows. I have no AC and it kinda gets hot during the day (even sweating in the night). I use a large fan to cool myself.
my question is that does the room temperature affects my pc in some way?

also follow up question

does keeping your pc turned on 24+ hours bad even on stand by? (not sleep)

Recently my computer has been freezing for a few minutes in 5~ minute intervals when I'm playing SC2 and LoL and a line appears on my screen for the duration of the freeze. The line goes away when it unfreezes. Is this a problem with my GPU? I have a i7 920 and a GTX 570, both which are 3~ years old. This is the first time that this has happened to me. Thanks in advance~

Its not bad to keep a pc on 24/7 but bad for your wallet...
I recommend you to turn off the pc during the summer if you don't use it (+40 degrees outside). In the old days your cpu could melt if your fan stops working but nowadays there are "overheating" securities to prevent that. Now we have the fancy tech that your pc will almost never smokes

Always monitor the temperature when you are in a hot environment, unlike in Canada...

Oh if its -20 degrees or +40 degrees in your room... the true "difference" for your pc should be like +5/+10 degrees differents. So it wont harm...

For laptops, its very important to keep an eye on the temps.

Try to use an different videocard or memory. If it doesn't fixes, its time to buy a new pc bc you have an I7 920 (legendary cpu), its not worth the money to find the problem.
