My native resolution is 1920x1080, if I lower this will that help? I know changing my resolution will mess with my sensitivity, is there a way to keep my sensitivity the same? Thanks.

The 1080p30 should take very slightly more cpu, but 720p60 will have more of a performance hit in game, because you are capturing the entire screen 60 times per second instead of 30. No reason to change bitrates, you desperately need the small boost at both resolution*fps's and it wont affect cpu usage. If you can stream @ 2k with one resolution you can do it with any.

Lowering the resolution could definitely help. Considering how trivial it is to do so, why don't you just try it yourself?

It's actually unlikely to change anything as army size doesn't really put more strain on the gpu, he'll be entirely cpu bound. To adjust you sensitivity, reduce the dpi on your mouse by whatever factor you reduce the resolution of your screen (in height not total number of pixels).

Because my question was a 2 parter and I wanted to have the same relative sensitivity... It's also rather hard to replicate 4 maxed armies on my screen. Watching a replay is not the same as playing. Thanks, much more helpful than "go figure it out yourself, it's easy" For someone who knows nothing about computers... CPU would refer to motherboard/RAM and GPU would refer to my graphics card? So if my issue is with army sizes (runs fine until there is a lot of stuff) does that mean it HAS to be cpu bound? Thanks in advance.

Since the issue is with large armies, it's definitely CPU bound, as mentioned previously. If you have an older system, to upgrade the CPU to anything significantly better, you may require a new motherboard and/or RAM for compatibility purposes.

On my second screen there is a grey bar ( 1 1/2 by 1/2 inches) in the center. Any ideas on how to remove it?

There seems to be two different backups on the hard drive: In the picture, in the WindowsImageBackup folder there's a .vhd file that's 558 GB, which I'm assuming is a backup file. Then there's also the BRIAN-PC file that is taking up a ton of space on the HD (like 700 GB or so), which seems very much like another backup file (when I double click it it asks me if I want to 'restore files from this backup.' Why is there two separate backup files? Do I need both? a .vdh file is a hard drive image (or virtual HDD) image file. It basically contains a copy of every file on your entire drive so that you can restore the drive (or another drive of the same size or larger) to the EXACT same state as it currently is. Handy, but if you're short on space it's pretty unnecessary. I'm not sure if the Windows backup offers any compression features or how compressed that file may already be. You could look into that a bit, you might be able to get the size down significantly. But if you don't have the disk space, I suggest instead using a program like Free File Sync (open source, you can find it on source forge) to backup on the files you really need, like your My Documents folder or whatever. If you did want to got the route of creating a backup image file, Clonezilla might be a better option. It's pretty fast and can do some nice compression.

Well, I use vm a lot and 3 vm seems to be close to 8gb. and 3vms is just a starting point for many vm's i'll need, so it might be handy for me. Let alone my browsers have several tabs open and other opened apps aswell.

I just got a new laptop (yes!!!), a 15.6" 1080p. But the resolution is so high that all the text is tiny. Is there a way to scale stuff up without resorting to the Windows option that makes everything ridiculously blurry/pixelated and whatnot? I also tried changing some settings in chrome, and the text is indeed bigger but the google services bar is still miniscule, not to mention in google search everything is shoved over to the left and whatnot >< I've been googling around but can't seem to find a solution, my head hurts ;_; (a condition aggravated by the tiny text) Edit: also, how do I know whether my GPU (nvidia gt 650m) is activated? I have Intel HD gfx and the nvidia card both enabled, but dxdiag only shows that I have the Intel HD graphics. Is this supposed to be how it is, or should I disable the integrated graphics? Thanks!! ^_^
