So I can imagine you can cut performance down by about 45 percent and then you would have maybe a really really basic idea of what is going on. For instance at about that resolution, VRAM starts to matter. If you have 1GB prepare for a big decrease, like what I am describing. If 2 GB then it wont matter nearly as much.

it is slightly annoying because i now of course can't help but specifically listen for it all the time, but i'll probably get used to it and it's only a very faint hissing, not loud at all. The question though - is this and indicator of imminent PSU failure or something and i should look to replace it asap? i would assume it is normal and i just couldn't hear it previously due to fans being louder, but asking is better i guess ^^

With no frame drops under the 25 border, that is. Since i have experience with different machines i am positive that it is this processor that is bottleneck that is causing occasional stutter and frame drop that is completely ruining experience of playing the game. I have 3 GB of ram and a card that easily can render low graphics. I know that this is "old" processor but since i am currently stuck with it i was wondering maybe someone have some magic advice to turn this shit machine in playable machine. So depressed that i can't play a single flawless game from time to time. Frame drops are really completely destroying play experience and i rather don't enter the game. Come on you wizards, help me! ^_^

So, I've always used USB microphones before, and just got a siberia V2 with plugs instead. Trying to find which are the correct plugs, it seems mic = pink, audio = green. First off, is this correct? Second, after plugging those in, I can't seem to get the mic working. When I go to Control Panel -> Sound -> Recording, I got 7 potential devices I can en/disable, and I'm not sure which is the correct one. When I go to Skype options, to assign the siberia as the default mic, I don't see it. Suggestions?

The sound processor (sound card, external soundcard or whatever it happens to be) that it is plugged into is considered as the microphone instead. You'll have to try each of the possibles until it picks up your voice.

What's your opinion on having membrane F keys? Do they hurt your game? Do they feel weird? Also, is Corsair planning on making any new keyboards anytime soon?

I was thinking of purchasing one because it looks beautiful, but the lack of mechanical keys for the F keys scare me, since RTS do use them for cameras. What's your opinion on having membrane F keys? Visit us in the Mechanical Keyboard Thread next time if you have questions or comments regarding mechanical keyboards. You're more likely to get a reply there than here. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=260143 Anyways I would HIGHLY suggest looking for a different keyboard. If your budget is allowing you to buy a Corsair K90, I would think about looking into mechanical keyboards such as Filco or Leopold. There has been past issues of functionality when concerning the Corsair K90 because of the strange mix of membrane and cherry switches. There have also been issues with some of the keys sticking. Anyways I don't see any use for the million macro keys they give you on the left side. In essence, I would be more concerned about quality over aesthetics of a mechanical keyboard, but that's just me. Additionally, if you ever wanted to put a new set of keycaps on the Corsair K90, the macro keys and F keys are not able to be replaced. I'm not really sure if you've used membrane keyboards or not (because of the three questions you ask in the middle of your post), but I'd find it hard to believe for people to say it hurts their gaming experience or feels weird, because 99% of people used a membrane keyboard before trying a mechanical one. It's very rarely the other way around. Although I suppose it would be strange to type on a hybrid mechanical keyboard.

I'm buying a new computer and i decided to recycle my old computer that has a power supply 500W and a hdd sata 250GB. I want a computer to play any kind of actual game. I'm also a league of legends player (2233 elo :D) and i decided to stream for some friends so i want my new computer to be able to. My budget is about 320€~ To get RAM, Motherboard, Graphic card and Processor. This is what i thought: - AMD FX Series FX-6100 3.3Ghz 6X - Corsair Vengeance PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 4GB CL9 X2 - Gigabyte 970A-DS3 - Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 Refurbished 1. I will be able to stream LoL at 60 fps? 2. I will be able to play games like BF3 at 1920x1080 (23") without any problems?

No idea about point 1 as you haven't mentioned the speed of your internet and the resolution you want to stream it. I tried to stream sc2 (I have a fibre optic 50mb/s connection) but was unable to with my hardware which was only just worse than yours so I don't know. 2 is probable on the lower graphics settings but will not do highest graphics.
