I've searched Tl and the internets, but I can't seem to find a fix.

When I click on the green Go Live button on Gom, and then select either SQ or HQ (I'm a season purchaser) I get the error message, code 71. It states that I am either not connected to the internet or have the player blocked by my firewall. Neither is the case. My spyware isn't blocking it either.

I haven't found a thread within a few months that deals with this specific thread. Please help, I'm missing the GSL.

Do you share your gomtv account? I get error 71 when someone else is already watching the stream.

Hmmm I do actually. We split the cost. Usually we don't watch live, just the VODs, but we're both watching tonight with it being the finals. I'll call them and ask. Thanks for the tip :D

I don't know if it's really the same problem (since in my case nobody is watching) but I have also a problem:

Everytime i want to watch GSL live since I updated my router firmware to dd-wrt the moment I click on HQ/SQ Live my internet is gone for about 30 sec and after that GOM Player displays a Popup:

"Cannot connect to streaming server. Make sure you are connected to the internet and you're not blocked by a firewall, then try again. Error code 0x00000071"

I searched the net and TL.net before so I already opened the ports (UDP and TCP) 843 and 63800.

btw, i did'nt have the problems with the standard Linksys router

Can anyone help?

I solved the problem, it has to do with internet explorer settings.

In Internet Explorer:

Open the Tools menu, and select Internet Options.
Open the Connections tab.
Click the "LAN settings" button
Enable (check) the "Automatically detect settings" option.
Restart windows.

That's what it is on by default I believe. I wouldn't have mess around with stuff you don't know what they do.

Reinstalling the Gom player helped me. Have no idea why

for me this didnt work unfortunately. The Browser settings (I even checked it for IE too) cant be a problem since it worked before I had dd-wrt. Reinstalling Gom player (and updating to the latest version) didnt help either.

Any other suggestions what I could try? really sucks to only be able to watch GSL via internet of my mobile phone (download limit..) or via the VODs

Hey all, I got the same error (71) yesterday after having no problem with GOM for months. I searched the internet and found that it could be the result of a ton of things. I've tried refresh+open stream a bunch, reinstalling, opening the stream in a new GOM account, restarting, not using a router -- all with no luck.

The one thing I have changed since it was working is that I installed WinAmp. I had WinAmp stop associating all video and audio files to itself, but that didn't do it. I'm thinking about uninstalling WinAmp tonight to see if it will work then. Anyone have any other ideas? Is there a chance uninstalling WinAmp might work?

Alternatively, can I try to watch the stream with a different media player than GOM's? If so, how?

seems no one can help right now hope anyone find a way

since 3 days i have the same problem, coming from no where the 71 error so i can only watch the free stream

no help on gom site either its so frustrating after paying so much money (since season 1 its 150 bucks so i could deserve some help of them ...)

well to your knowledge i tryed start from ie firefox chrome etc resintall it 10 times new ports firewall ports open (even short time off) like mad man xD

I know restreams aren't allowed but we are here in my city like 10+ guys cant watch cause of Gom GSL code 71 problem since 1 week so perhaps restream allowed until they fix it ?

or a premium link for other player like vlc or something would work too

Have you guys tried changing your DNS settings? I suspect that DNS may be the issue, maybe your computer can't resolve the name to the IP address of the gom stream.
