Core I7 920 2x GTX 285 6 GB Ram HDD is fine (datatransfer rate seems to be normal). 60% free disc space on my Windows partition 35% on the SC2 partitition. Just started happening about 1 week ago. All other games run just fine. Updated Graphicsdriver today. Didnt help. Since the FPS is so high I didnt even bother trying to lower graphics settings (running on medium). BTW the framerate stays at the former level during the freezes (just like in the vid of OP) - so there is no framerate drop. If anybody had a suggestion how to solve this problem Id be so gratefull. Impossible to play the game atm =/ Same for me; FPS around 75~ and every like 5/10 minutes it just happens. Sometimes i even have to alt tab and retab in the game to make the freeze stop. Q9550 GTX 295 8 GB ram SSD drive for windows and 2x 1 TB HDD in RAID for starcraft I can't for the life of me find where it is; as others here i updated drivers, reinstalled stuff n everything but so far no luck..

Started happening to me after updating drivers as well 5850 here. Edit: Tried installing 10.12 drivers rather than the 11 series with no luck. I have win7 64bit. I get exactly the same small stutters you showed in the youtube video. I'm going to rollback drivers further and see if any sneaky windows updates happened in the last couple of days that may have affected it. (I tried the sound thing to no avail - seemed unlikely given it was smooth as you like prior to a couple of days ago and no, it didn't help me ![]() Edit 2: So I did that - I uninstalled drivers, used Driversweeper in safe mode to get rid of them, restarted (you can't use the catalyst installer in safe mode, some conflict with the C++ redist) and then installed Catalyst 10.6 which can be gotten here. 10.6 was an arbitrary choice, I just knew they'd been stable before. I also removed and didn't reinstall the HDMI audio driver or the SDK driver from the package, just the display driver and the catalyst software. After a reboot, SC2 had gone back to normal without the stuttering. Hope this helps, OP and anyone else having the same problem.

I finally figured it out last night, my ethernet drivers were out of date. Once I updated those the skipping stopped and now happens maybe once a game, but that happened on my old PC too. There is a pretty long thread on the bnet forums about it too: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/1126996964

Or is it related to the lag of the internetz `?! Windows said my network driver is on the newest version.

That is definitely what fixed it for me. I spent all last week trying every different possible combination of things and it happened just like the video in the OP during every game until I updated those drivers.

If you click on the single player tab, then play a game against AI - do you stutter? If you then click on the multi player tab, and play a custom game against same AI, same map - do you stutter? For me, I do not stutter at all when playing against AI in Single Player, but stutter regularly playing against AI in Multi Player. Thanks for the tip about the network card, I was actually doing exactly that in between posts. I've had a look around on the bnet forums, it's cropping up quite a bit. I can only assume it's something network or internet related because of the above-mentioned singleplayer vs multipler difference. So I've tried updating the drivers of the network card, setting power settings to always on, port forwarded - literally everything network related i can think of to no avail. I'll continue to update with my experiences. If you find that the stuttering is in multi but not in single, let me know. FWIW, I'm running Win7 64bit without SP1, a HD5850, i7 processor, 6gb ram, a ssd for windows driver and plenty of space on a 1tb HD where SC2 is installed.

We might be able to narrow it down if we can be sure it's a network/internet issue.
