Hi,
I tried opening and cleaning my brand new SteelSeries 6gV2 which some ass spilled wine all over during new years. I've unscrewed the four screws in the back but it seems to be something holding it together at the centre by the cord. I don't really wanna pry it open and cause even more damage.
Any tips? Also anything regard cleaning a mechanical keyboard would be appreciated!

Why dont you just pop of the keys instead? What I do when I clean it, I pop of the keys, take a toothbrush, minor amount of water, and brush away.
Edit, I remember trying to open it but decided not too, there was probably a good reason, maybe its glued shut.

I'll give it a shot. Tried dabbing it with acetone and spamming the stickiest key. Worked great until I saw that it wasn't acetone, but nailpolish remover. I just wasn't sure it would reach in between the switches.

Still this same slow feeling in the right half of the board. Frustrating, not even a week old! I tried popping the keys and used just a hint of water on the tip of a toothbrush. Even tried a little chemically clean gasoline (correct term is "white gas" I think) on the worst key, and still no clear difference.
