while the blacks were a def improvement over the membrane, my wrists started hurting using the steelseries 6gv2
i bought the adesso keyboard and so far the blues are much more comfortable to use, the dual usb ports are in a better position than the DAS and while the audio/mic ports are useless to me, you may find some use for it.. the keyboard is also lower profile than the 6gv2 and have the adjustable legs which is TONS more comfortable to me
its also about 30 dollars cheaper,
the only disadvantage is the adesso has 10key roll over while the steelseries board uses full n-key roll over, and the blues are a bit louder than the blacks (i can live with these disadvantages)
You know what would be cool? If someone could make a program that makes clicky noises out of your speakers everytime you press a key so one can almost simulate the sound of blueswitches. Ok, that sounds silly but I felt like saying that. Anyways, i went over to frys and I stopped by the keyboards and for the very first time I pressed a mechanical keyboard button. It was a 7g: black. After playing around with the keyboard for a bit, it felt sexy but I really think it felt too much like a straight button instead a key that my fingers can dance across. Now I definitely think my first mech board will be blue or brown. The question is: can I handle the sound?

i use a blackwidow, which has blue keys, and i recommend it. i think that blues are a good all around switch. they're not as light as the browns or as stiff as the blacks. the only disadvantage is their sound. it's a really nice, satisfying sound, but the sound can get so loud that if you live with anyone, you can't type on it at night for fear of waking them up.
a lot of choosing one of these things is dependent on the sound. if you're going to be typing around people, then black switches are a better choice. my friend has a steelseries 6gv2, and that's a great board, too.
I have Cherry MX Browns. They feel great for typing and SC2. Ive found when playing CSS (the first day i got it) my character felt floaty a bit(because of the actuation point), but im going to test tonight to see if they work well with fps games because im definitely more used to the keyboard now after a couple weeks.
I most recommend cherry browns, unless you want the loud click, get blues which are almost exactly the same as browns, only a 5 gram difference.
Quick vid i threw together of my DAS w/ browns
**the backspace was so loud cus iwas hitting it pretty hard, and it was the key bottoming out, not the switch.
Personally I (read: my g/f lol~) can't stand the volume of the blues. Brown is pretty similar to blue without the noise, though. Lot of people really do like that noise on a subconcious level, though.
