It gets stuck? Wtf return it dude it's faulty, you shouldnt have to live with it. Can you give a more detailed review also :D Of course I returned it, but I won't buy a new one either. The switches required a bit too much force for my liking. The feet are just plastic, although on the ss homepage it says teflon feet. I really like the shape of the mouse (I'm an old 1.1a enthusiast), the tracking felt good but overall I was a bit disappointed. I might try the zowie am next, but I will wait for the second batch in march.

I should receive my Kana tomorrow, though I have a feeling I will be sending it back after reading a lot of comments on overclock.net. I play at 1600 dpi and supposedly the tracking is horrible at that setting on the kana. On top of that, there is a bug that causes your mouse to jump pixels when doing verticle movements and the feet are plastic instead of teflon despite what SS says on their website. Add this to the mountain of gaming mice that have glaring flaws.

I think I'm more of a fingertip user and I don't have big hands. Other recommendations would be welcome, I was thinking of getting a Razer but looking at this thread I found a lot of people having issues with them. Maybe Steelseries, CM or TT Esports mice?
You can fingertip grip the MX518, which supports all three common mousing styles. It isnt as perfect as a mini-mouse sounds like it would be for you.
However I can guarantee the quality of the mouse. Even after all these years.
The DPI is fully adjustable, which is more than very many mice can say.

Why not get another g9/x?

I've got a question about the Razer Imperator 4g. The old model had a problem with mouse lifting - just lifting the mouse and putting it back down actually moved the cursor. Did they fix it in the 2012 edition?

A close friend of mine is using the mouse and he hasn't had any complaints about the lift-off. Seems the optical sensor is doing its job.

I cannot seem to find a good review for the Steelseries Kana and Kinzu v2. I heard that they used a sensor without patented SteelSeries 5% accelleration^TM, so I am quite interested in hearing more about these mice. Could anyone link me through to any discussion on these mice?

Cannot decide which razor product should I get next. Currently using mx518. Any lil' help for me ^^?

I personally don't think you should lock yourself into getting one brand before you have a good look around. However since you use the mx518 it seems like you probably like big, palmy mice. If this is the case then with razor i would go with a deathadder. However there are many other brands that offer good palm mice.

click on the players below to see their setups, and it seems to be their real preferences they all use different brands, not like eg where they have to use steelseries etc.
hope this helps^^
/most of them use low dpi but high ingame mouse sens ( around 800 dpi and 60-70% ingame speed ), BBiBBi does use 4200dpi though without ingame speed as the only guy. they all play in 1920 X 1080

The entire IM team is doing it wrong, then

Even the best players can learn from the worst players. Just because someone is 3 time GSL champion doesnt mean they couldnt do even better without a handicap they dont even know about.

Here is a detailed discussion on the Kana and all the problems it has.
http://www.overclock.net/t/1183274/kinzu-v2-kinzu-v2-pro-and-kana/550
I just received mine today (wish I had read that thread before ordering it) and it's going back to the store asap. I use 1600 dpi on my mx518 and that setting on the kana has horrible tracking (far sloppier than my forever old mx518 even....). The jump bug occurs on all dpi settings and it happens quite frequently. You absolutely will notice it when boxing workers at the start of sc2 and I can see it causing many misplaced depots/pylons/whatever lol.
The feet are indeed plastic instead of teflon, so if you use a cloth pad like myself then there will be some heavy resistance. I find the mouse incredibly comfortable and if all of these problems didn't exist then I would love it, but honestly terrible tracking and a horrendous jump bug are unacceptable in a gaming mouse.

good read.

Lol bad mouse.
Its funny to watch companies self destruct they're entire business for a few bucks now.
Also evidently a "feature" of this mouse is that the executable for the driver to run it uses 128MB's of RAM! Holy shit! lol!

Like, how hard is it to make a mouse that doesn't have some massive glaring flaw? Apparently impossible. The deathadder seems to be the only flawless gaming mouse as far as the sensor goes but I don't like the shape of it. Someone should put that sensor inside the Kana, I'd buy it
