Maybe something else? What is your grip style? If you palm, I would say go with the G400 as it is the successor to the mx518, but if you are more of a claw/fingertip user, a smaller, lighter mouse might be in order. Also do not get the original Kinzu, its sensor is garbage from everything I've read. The Kinzu v2 might be different as it uses a different sensor, but...

I tried out the ikari, abysuss, deathadder, and I really didn't like the feel of the clicks. The Storm feels like an ikari but smaller and lighter. Its mostly for people who use a claw grip or palm if you have small hands. The ring finger rest lets me control the mouse without having it in an awkward position and the rubber grips keeps your fingers in place, I highly recommend this mouse for claw grip users. I agree with everything FakePromise said. I switched over to the Storm from the Logitech G7 v2 (blue) after two years. Made the switch around last November. If you prefer a cheaper alternative, the Cool Master Xornet has the same form factor. (Only difference is firmware/software, color black, no onboard memory?, different optical sensor). Personal reasons for switching: - I wanted a lighter mouse - I wanted an optical instead of laser sensor. - My G7's mouse feet were so messed up lol Why you should consider getting the Storm: - Great price for awesome product - Very responsive clicking - Claw grippers will rejoice - Low LOD - Light weight Cons: - Scroll wheel cannot tilt left-right - Software is kind of a mess (e.g. driver software freezes if you try to apply settings with Chrome up) - Several firmware to choose from (like "30, 31, 32") depending on preferred lift off distance

So does any TLers have any experience with either the two? The Sensei looks cool and fancy, but I'm afraid that the size and weight might be a problem. As for the Abyssus, I've never own a Razer product, but I keep reading how some of their products are faulty. Of course not all of them, but they seem to have more problems than Steelseries' from my reading experience.

If your hand hurts, it's probably due to your posture, more than your mouse. Try google good sitting postures infront of a computer. Do stretching exercises, and/or workout.

The feet are bad (not that big a deal) and the right mouse button gets stuck sometimes. Maybe I got a "Montagsproduktion" (lemon mouse). It gets stuck? Wtf return it dude it's faulty, you shouldnt have to live with it. Can you give a more detailed review also :D

In terms of accuracy/precision and ability to marine split etc, i would definatly play on 400dpi if i could, but its not really all too viable for massive playing sessions, so i use 800, and its pretty awesome without mouse accel. Can hit about level 20 on marine split challenge without using patrol, etc. I play it with stim, combat shields and centrifugal hooks (it is on creep). After tesing 450 CPI for a while myself I have to conclude that it's not for me. I have trouble when I need to move long distances (from the bottom to the top of the screen, for example). The precision is great, though. Maybe I could settle with something like 600-700, but not many mice do allow you to set the CPI that precise. And the mice that do, do have other flaws (the Xai and Sensei do have acceleration).
