Do we have any sense of when is the new ladder season will begin? Any word on having the maps rotated or current + new maps in the pool?

Would be really nice to see 12+ maps in the pool .

Update - NA ladder is reporting ladder ends on the 5th of Jan.

There is server maintenence scheduled for StarCraft 2 for January 5th. It is possible that both a new map pool & new balance patch happen on that day.

But knowing Blizzard, nothing of this is guaranteed.

New maps LIKELY in two days, sudden season end date change. Pros confirmed new maps are supposed to be released a good bit before Katowice so timing lines up.

So they removed all the short distance map with potential for 2 base all-in and give back the standard macro 7-8 base map? And this happen at the same time with Ghost nerf? Why am I not suprised about this?
