AfreecaTV have announced the round-of-20 groups for Code S Season 3, which will begin on Monday, Aug 22 9:30am GMT (GMT+00:00). As usual, the groups were seeded based on GSL points, an internal system that takes only GSL results into account. As a result, international players Astrea and Reynor received low seeding.
I've always found GSL's logic of "1 championship is worth just SLIGHTLY more than 2 runner-ups" to be quite amusing. It's like they bluntly applied narrative logic while completely disregarding how real StarCraft is full of insane variance and luck between closely matched players.
I enjoyed GSL's promo video (Korean Starcraft: now with eyebrow-waggling Reynor action!)
Definitely a good group for him. Astrea has it tougher. All the groups look quite competitive, though, I don't see a true imbalanced Group of Death here.

It's shame that the GSL create the groups how they please and dosen't have some kind of seeding mechanisms
Maru could bomb out against Protoss, but I can't imagine him losing to Classic or Gumiho. Since he can't face Zoun twice he should be good even if he has an off day.
Also Bunny's bad luck continues, due to Reynor being a tier 4 player he ended up with a group he could easily be eliminated from . Bunnyjwa should still be favored over DRG though
