Ah great news, I actually voted for that map! This mappool looks a lot less Zerg-friendly / more balanced then. Can't wait for it

Only maps that stand out to me are Moondance, Stargazer, and Waterfall. And Moondance and Stargazer stand out because the expanding is even more free than usual Waterfall is the only map that looks like it could play somewhat different than usual because it looks a bit smaller, but maybe it isn't even smaller in reality.

Cosmic Sapphire? I don't think we had a map like that that is so stretched wide. That looks like the most unique map to me

Maybe we'll see more of their specifics when they get played out but at first glance they're very standard yeah

I think overall terran and protoss will benefit from this map pool with its combination of smaller maps and less maps with unclaimable edge bases that only zerg can reasonably grab. That's not a bad thing in my book.

From a terran perspective the matchup feels 10× harder to play on a huge map like Pride, Hardwire or Glittering Ashes than on a relatively short map like Oxide

As P i'm unironically opening the maps and counting the squares on the chokes and ramps. If the map was just a flat plane with a large gap between opponents then i'd probably lose every PvZ.
