Okay, we had this question before, and the other thread somehow came up with \"no\" as an answer, which I\'m pretty sure is bullshit -

Can immortals hit air and ground or just ground?

Honestly, I think that if the successor to the dragoon can't hit air, it'd be pretty retarded.
Anyway, I think that on the sc2 page you can see the Immortal animation aiming his cannons up. Hopefully, that means they can hit air.

From what I was told last night from people who went to Blizzcon they don't hit air oO

well, I think the stalker can hit air and it probably replaced the dragoon, not the immortal.

they hit JUST ground, I remember having a lot of them and not hitting air. I wanted to make sure and i read on the unit description, and it sed "can attack ground units" so im guesing thats about it.

edit: i also thought that the immortal came with its imba shields but actually you have to upgrade it from the new citadel type building.

Well in the videos you can see it takes some time for 4 BC and 4 Thorks to kill inmortals when they are getting focused. Dragoons would melt in no time.

That's great! It will make for some interesting micro and strategy. And for the people complaining, three words: Phoenix, Warp Ray, and Carriers (Ok maybe that's four words). This will make them more useful and affordable, not to mention that from what we've heard the Phoenix alone already pwns everything.

That's interesting. Although most things are subject to change and probably will, does anybody remember what the the Immortals cost resource-wise in the BlizzCon alpha build? They seem like a pretty heavy-duty unit, I wonder how hard on the economy macroing those baby's is gonna be. Overall I'm glad that Toss now have a ground-superiority fighter that can stand up to tank fire, it always seemed a bit odd to me that the Protoss had nothing among their ground forces sturdy enough to take a few tank hits and stay standing, probably cause I'm always getting whomped by T tank pushes.

175 min and 75 gas, basically they cost ~50% more than a basic goon/stalker.
