The Afreeca Freecs Protoss has now won three premier tournaments in a row This is TSL6 erasure. Ragnarok pulled through there.

I really doubt it. I don't think Trap's the sort to fake technical issues, and if he were, would he do it against Zoun? This was Zoun's first top tier result—really his first result at all, beyond qualifying—in an offline event. As time went on, his nerves seemed to get worse, and he may have just genuinely been out of PvP builds.

Just wanted to ask, now that the 4 are seeded (3 Tosses and Dream), and this is the first tournament for GSL series, does that mean that they'll be the ones to be the leader of each group (meaning they can pick their first players for their group once Ro16 starts)? Or the past GSL points are still in effect for some players?

Note to publisher, not sure if it was intended, but this event is not spoiler-ed and I have spoilers on. The final four article still has a spoiler active though lol.

Protoss has not had a chance vs zerg for years now and blizzard did nothing until the void ray change and now that zergs are struggling a tiny bit we will probably see blizzard influenced again by the collective cries when zerg players can't win everything. It's crazy how the SC2 community is actually 3 different communities the Terrans the Zergs and the Protoss. It's actually a problem. Solar could not win tournaments when Zerg was really broken he has choked several series and he should have beaten trap in that super tournament but he choked., anyone who watched GSL knows this so maybe put emphasis on that fact when you write this post not just about how Protoss seems "unbeatable" late-game pvz which is not the case at all.

I think we should generally step away from these balance discussions. They are mostly useless, because they are based on single events and most of the times single players. And yes, the trend right now is that Zerg struggle quite a bit. For now, I would not blame that on the balance. For now it‘s a small sample size and some tournaments were Zerg underperformed significantly. I see the current underperformance of Zerg mainly as a result of being forced to adapt quite radically. That there were a few tournaments where no Zerg even reached the Ro8 might show a bit of a trend, but I doubt that‘s gonna stay. IF it remains this way, the discussion must be held again obviously. But that‘s still a long way to go. And again, I doubt it‘s a balance issue at the moment.
