To offer some solace in this time of grief: We've learned that Geoff passed quickly and painlessly from a blood clot in his lungs. He was with friends. He always urged and led us by example to take care of ourselves to the best of our ability. Remember to do that for him today.
never been so sad about the death of someone that i dont know personaly. so sad that he died : (
cant belive hes gone honestly. he was the humor factor of sc2, and he had some rock solid casting aswell. even tho hes gone, he will forever live on in our memories.
i remember the burger man story. which made everyone laugh at blizzcon. nestea probably meant to ask if incontrol liked burgers, but it turned into a hilarious meme, which incontrol was humorous with at blizzcon.
the redeye jokes at HSC was absolutely hilarious. i always looked forward to hearing the redeye jokes, and so did rotterdam and everyone else, that was such a huge humor
so sad that such a young man with a happy great career and happy life can be teared away from us so suddenly.
I never really understood how important iNcontrol was to me or this community until he died. I watched his stream on occasion, and very much enjoyed him as a caster.
Some of my earliest memories from this community are of Geoff taking on all the insane weirdos who used to populate clan x17 in its ridiculous heyday. Geoff vs JelloOne was some of the most sublime shit talking I've ever seen.
This game, this website, all of it, greatly benefited from Geoff's oversized heart and personality, and it sucks that he's gone far too early. He left a mark few people will equal, and he'll always be remembered by the people who were lucky to know him.
Been out of the SC2 scene for a number of years but saw this terrible news on Twitter and am pretty shocked. RIP Geoff, you seemed like such a genuine and contagiously friendly person.
I'm so sad.. such a great guy.. why do good people have to leave so early ? Really unfair. Had the chance to play some games against him back in the BW days, iNCONTROL was such a nice guy and he brought so much for the community. RIP

incontrol was a fucking hero. i miss listening to the old pylon show he was always the midpoint, the trolling, the jokes and him yelling and putting on a real show. the other hosts just feels so average compeared to him.
i will never forget the burgerman story with nestea that he told at blizzcon, i probably rewatched that 100 times by now.
for me incontrol was truly the number one caster-entertainer in starcraft 2.
