EDIT: I vaguely recall someone with the id Blacklizard from early vanilla SC. Could the poster be the same? Yup, it's him =]

Gimme a break - you can block units in starcraft, that's called lurker-ling micro vs marines-medics when you put your lings as a block while lurkers smash the poor marines that can't run away. Another example - drones surrounding a sunken to make it last longer. Another example - reaver targeting one unit and the player putting other units in front of that one in order to get the scarab bugged. More? sc has everything wc3 has and more, except heroes/items/creeps.

StarCraft is definitely better for being on fastest because it allowed the game as a spectator sport to grow extremely large Parhaps, but I want to enjoy playing SC2 more than I want to watch it being played on TV. It's a computer game first and spectator sport second. Maybe you got your priorities a little mixed up in there. Yes, the early game is boring to watch I agree, afterwards it's much less of an issue. This is a weakness in bw also, especially these days where all races fexp almost every game. Using gamespeed to fix it hurts the quality of mid and late game. Maybe if the game started on fastest x1.5 and gradually slow down to faster in the first 5 minutes...though that's really weird to get used to and fucks up your timing sense on everything

I think you're the "moron". What, even if I find something incredibly distasteful visually I'm not allowed to dislike it even if the gameplay is good? I don't like Warcraft 3 melee just for that very reason. The graphics give me a headache. So what, now I'm a "moron?" Get over yourself.

Get over yourself. errm, i'm not sure what he meant but anyway - if you think a game is good just because it's "like a movie" then you belong to the "morons" group, if you dislike a games graphics sure you don't have to play it and you got every right to do so, even if gameplay is no1 in world you'd still want something "pleasant to the eye"- sc is quite old but for its time it looks quite sweet. sc2 will have alot to prove and pass many tests :D
