How to Copy Paste Message Log From Starcraft 2

Hi I stumbled upon an old thread whilst searching for ways to copy and paste the message log within SC2 however it was closed in 2012! so I am putting a solution in here (2018). I like to troll russian players with some Russian Nonsense so here's what I found out.

Copy & Paste text can not be done whilst in a game. Thats the bad bit. The SC2 console does not allow text to be copied / highlighted even when pressing F11 to view the message log.

However, it can be done after game - but is quite long winded process initially.

First Install Java
Then download a program called SCELight
Then run program and locate game.
Then select message log
Then highlight text to be copied
Then press control and C
Then paste in to Google translate

My hopes of trolling Russian players mid game are dashed, but at least I get to see thier responses to "привет, мой брат, как ты сегодня?" in english afterwards - which is amusing.

PS - normally they call me a retard LOL - in russian of course (опятьхвост)

How would copying text from chat logs help you troll Russians (or any other players)?

I've heard of players assigning character strings to macro keys on their mice so they can type something repetitively. Heard of one player assigning 'glhf' to their mouse macro key, which is probably the most pointless wait of time I have ever heard of.

Excellent! I`m a pretty bad player so my macro often gets in the way of my hilarious BM. Now I shall use this and hit master 2 while still being outrageously funny towards my opponents!
