Though I like the current testmap with the shield battery, so I probably gonna play that some if I have time. Otherwise the time is better spend in the arcade! Why buy warchest then? Well, there was a time when I liked Sc2 and I hope Blizz keeps developing the game(so take my money by all means) until it hits a state I find enjoyable again.

Lot's of people who actually don't really play anymore got the warchest just because they like sc2, WCS and Blizz. For them any shortcut to still get the skins is welcome.

Or maybe it's about unlocking time-locked (in a way) stuff to later hand over the battle.net account for future generations or something? Will SC2 skins become a new currency and people are going long? Because running games with ai and letting it just go on on its own kinda resembles cryptocurrency mining

Because running games with ai and letting it just go on on its own kinda resembles cryptocurrency mining so people who play the game 'normally' aren't allowed to make an effort to unlock the skins sooner, so they can use them in matches sooner?
