I dunno, I tried it, but I have spend so much time trying to understand how to do it that I would have been much better off just scouting

You're right, you should ensure it works.
Which is why it boggles my mind that Blizzard didn't ensure that it couldn't be seen through fog or used to reveal buildings via testing before release.
That type of testing literally takes about 5 minutes, if that, and I know that by experience. Of course, you actually have to think about the consequences of what could wrong with the sprays, but that is also a developer responsibility.

if only they had never added that useless thing in the first place

All you need to do is hold the worker spray button and mouse over to look for buildings. Make a custom game on Frost and try it. This lets you find initial placement in 4 player maps, scout proxies, know which bases have been taken, check buldings location on early game... all of this without scouting! http://us.battle.net/forums/en/sc2/topic/20750725010#1-- UPDATE: looks like they resolved it (thanks MockHamill for posting it here, thanks to the guy who edited the title aswell) http://us.battle.net/forums/en/sc2/topic/20751095035
Missed their chance to release this as a "feature"

I wonder if people like that are so efficient and make no mistakes at their work. It was a mistake and everyone knows it, they fixed it rather quickly, nobody gives a shit how it boggles your mind actually
With a lot of constructive criticism on forums towards the game I'm getting more tired with each day I see people having satisfaction on bashing Blizzard, some parts of the community ruin the game far more than every poor Blizzard decision ever did combined. To be honest I may be seen as a Blizzard apologist a little bit sometimes but good god, go spew this shit somewhere else
Plus I don't know how some people still don't understand that there are separate teams responsible for separate parts of the game, dev/multiplayer/story/co-op are separate teams doing separate things, do some people think that David Kim goes in to check on teams whether they added the spray or not? Fucking lol
