SC2 Proleague Discontinued; SKT, KT, SGK, CJ disband - Pag…

Regardless of the situation, we will still action upon "dead game" comments. As this is a sensitive issue for SC2 fans, please do not come into this thread and talk about SC2 players switching over to BW. This thread is also not about bashing Blizzard, David Kim, or the WCS system.

I feel like if they just went back to the old BNet design that alone would pull people back. It's sad that the old war3 has so many feature that are better than sc2 bnet...I think even to this day blizzard highly underestimates how much short and long term damage that did to their game.

Especially in a game like SC2 that's so harsh and unforgiving in the first place, you need the social interaction to ease the gloomy and stressful ladder experience. I'm fine with limited interaction in Hearthstone for example, because it's so lighthearted and can be played in windowed mode while doing tons of other things on the side. But that doesn't work for a stressful RTS in fullscreen.

The difficulties Blizzard have had making interesting ground units that aren't crazily imbalanced - pathfinding. Perfect pathfinding meant that army power scaled almost perfectly with numbers. Blizzard ALWAYS had to balance around 30 of whatever it was turning up at a given point on the map near-simultaneously. The samey-ness of games, the lack of strategic variety - again, pathfinding. Perfect pathfinding normalises engagements, reducing the variety of ways two given armies can interact. The tendency for many matchups to devolve into the dull massing of a deathball followed by an engagement lasting just a few seconds, which in turn led to the increasing emphasis on worker-slaughter to provide some kind of action and entertainment - pathfinding. Perfect pathfinding all but eliminated the inherent advantage of a pre-positioned, entrenched small force, making the deathball the de facto dominant strategy. In short, SC2 pathfinding significantly diminished the richness, variety, potential and ultimately entertainment value of the game. In my opinion

Same. On October 19 2016 18:51 aQuaSC wrote: What makes you so happy about it? Feeling like feeding a troll, but let's try As for me, it is kinda making everyone equal. Hopefully both can understand each other pain and stop trolling / fighting each other now that we know the pain of each other. Lets try to look at the future of StarCraft II as a Global game not a Korean thing. It was kinda annoying how artificial it was and pushing it on everyone's throat. Hopefully, we all can live in peace.

Hopefully, we all can live in peace. The passive-aggressiveness in this post is real. The problem was not SC2 being pushed onto Koreans. Thankfully Koreans can defend themselves just fine from the evil SC2 minions! The problem is people trying to make SC2 vs BW a thing. We need BW vs SC2 Mega thread! What a surprise. BW and SC2 are intertwined heavily, for multiple reasons. Let's not act as if this wasn't the case. Let's not forget a lot of SC2 players actually started watching and supporting BW (again) when this happened with BW. Let's also not forget that people are cheering for players in both games. So whatever your point of view towards SC2 or BW is, the whole situation just sucks. Saying this is a good thing is just as disrespectful as the people saying this back when it happened to BW.
