No probably not.

I wonder what this is going to mean for TRUE...really interesting decision on his part....

Success begets success. Hydra couldn't beat Rogue in aan offline tournament while he was on CJ, but he did after seeing success on Root. Polt won more than twice as many Premier tournaments against top-tier competition after moving to the US. Europeans succeed more than North Americans because there are so many more EU events and online events on the EU server.
not arguing about "how many events there are in EU (because, there are more than in NA, no question) i just dont get this (hostile?) stand on..."koreans tuk er jeerbs" thing, which i read here (not THIS thread in particular) since that announcement.
so you are saying, that TRUE could just...benefit, being on a NA team?...(yeah, better to cook with all the spices than just the ones you know,..i like to say xD )

yeah, i mean, thats maybe not the thread for it....but thats not really the koreans fault isnt it?...i mean..EU proved to "break out" of this paradigm?...NA can to that too, and i see alot of change going on there (fingers crossed)...i heard arium is somehow a prodigy? any bets on him maybe?

It doesn't matter how good Americans become over the next year, there will only be 8 slots for them, and people who have had the natural advantage of being born, raised, and trained in Korea and only being American long enough for them to get into WCS will always be limiting that number even further. Imagine, for instance, INTZ or Kabum deciding to sign Naniwa and move him to Brazil so he can get a Latin American spot in WCS because he can't make it in Europe. That'd be pretty unfair to Kelazhur and Major, wouldn't it? People would be rightfully angered if that occurred. Koreans, however, get defenders because they are Korean.

Actually, given how non-Korean players from the NA region performed this year, I don't exclude the fact that there will be less than 8 spots for NA in next year's WCS.

for this example : yeah it would be unfair indeed, but...
naniwa wouldn´t get the spot "automatically"...or?...wouldn´t he need to qualify for WCS? and even until there, he can get knocked out aswell, from an latin american player? - and there is still this chance, (okay,..its TRUE...he´s korean..etc etc) that TRUE CAN be kicked out..by a (better) NA player...(or is this, outrageous to even think, that an NA player kicks TRUE out of qualifiers?)

Yeah us NA people are just all very lazy and stupid. This is a very logical explanation and we should not support efforts for increased competition on the server /s

wow wow ! guys!!!
i was just asking....about that "attitude" where koreans "take" NA spots,...don´t get all "x is better than y" up here...(or maybe take that to pm´s? or another thread?)
if it promotes "better" SC from NA! --> yaaay!! if it splits opinions and ecourage "hate" ---> naaay!
sooo, lets be happy for TRUE! and...hope that it (maybe?) encourages more NA ppl to "bust koreans" and take the spots they are entitled to!

Bummer, was hoping to have him rejoin a KESPA team. Now looks like he wants to take the route Hydra did and get WCS money/points the easier way than actively competing in Korea.

In a move surprising no-one ever, when you create a much easier tournament with lots of prizemoney to be won even without being the eventual champion, vs the most top-heavy and stacked tournaments in South Korea, people will move to where they can get the most money.
Shock horror, I know

I believe it has been mentioned in the past that TRUE was taking English classes, so it is entirely possible that a move to NA is for his personal development as well as for competing in WCS. Has it been mentioned anywhere whether he'll be applying for an athlete or student visa?
