I dont understand why people get upset over this? This is a normal thing... You see this in actual sports where a player gets dual citizenship to play for another country. This happens in Futbol, this happens in the olympics.... its all up to where the player feels its right for them. I don't think they should be blamed. You know, you might see it as "Hey that korean is coming over to take American players out and win their money" But its a god damn sacrifice to come to a country you don't know, with people who don't speak your language. To leave everyone you know!!! I've had to move to countries where they didnt speak my native tongue but thankfully i was lucky to have someone with me for the time I had to move. If not i dont know what I would of done. Sure you can say they have their team but unless this is like Root where there is a legit house and all your team lives together and keeps each other company it can get pretty lonely.

The sooner they unlock the regions again the better The sooner the unlock the regions, the less you will see TRUE, so what this shows is that the region lock really works, if you want more high level people to compete full time in NA. Getting a visa is not an issue as several examples have shown this year, if you and your team are serious about your business. ![]()

The sooner they unlock the regions again the better WCS S3 this year was, at least for me, by far the most enjoyable and entertaining one... because it was mostly Foreigners competing against each other, everyone with their unique story and flair. This is supposed to be a tournament designed to give Foreigners a grand stage to perform on, I don't want to see it being high-jacked by Koreans who are not competent enough to compete in their own region. We already have Dreamhack and IEM and MSI and Asus ROG and GFinity to give the Koreans who seek international audiences their stages to perform on, gain WCS points and earn cash. WCS is unique, can we please keep it that way? Look, I understand that, with Koreans mixed it, you get more high quality games... but a non-region-locked WCS is a bastardized version of it. The best of the best (and most interesting ones, imho) still stay in their home region and don't compete in WCS. So you end up with neither the most interesting story lines, nor the highest quality of games. There were 15 international tournaments this year that, for the most part, attracted very good Koreans. All I am asking for is 3 tournaments a year where it is not the same fucking names from the Ro8 on. You have your 15 tournaments, let us have 3... there is no need to force your views on what is enjoyable down everyone's throat and make all tournaments the same according to what you enjoy the most. I don't want to see Polt vs. Hydra or Hydra vs. ForGG finals every damn WCS season and I sure don't want to see another one mixed in with those names. I am sorry for dragging this thread further offtopic and I am glad that TRUE has found a new team, he is a great player... I just cannot feel happy about the announcement that he is going to compete in WCS...

That aside, I still don't get the rage against players going to other regions. People certainly don't care in other sports. In basketball for example, there are plenty of European players in the NBA, and there are a limited number of players that can make it in the NBA, but no one screams that they are taking spots from Americans because they make it by being better then the competition, which is legitimate in any competition. It baffles my mind to this day that when basically asked, Do you want to see games between better players or games between players who are worse at the game but happen to be born in a similar region of the world or share a skin color with you?, that there are people who would rather see the later. Someone by coincidence being born in the same country as me does not make them anymore interesting to watch. I'm watching for the games played.
