Which could be a lot of fun, but I'm sure people are used to the way things are now.
this is exactly what you're supposed to do though .
Though FPL is much more interesting with winners league format

I think they are going to do worse than expected. You could trade Life out for a 1 point player. There's no way Life is gonna do worse than Zoun Do you not try to pick up as high valued player as possible that will not preform as well as expected? The points that go against you from Anti picks are not based off of the weighting each player has. So, even if you think players weighted at 7/8/9 are going to underperform, it's almost guaranteed that they will at least get 50% winrate, and are always going to get played. Since a players' points are from... A. winning (2 points) B. losing (-1 point) C. showing up (1 point) D. his team winning (1 point) The players who even get a 45% winrate will hurt you considerably. So, let's pretend Flash sucks now, and will only get a 40% win rate with 30 games (12 games won, 18 games lost). He gets 24 points for winning, loses 18 points for losing, and gets 30 points for showing up. And it's likely his team will win a fair bit too (KT Rolster), so he gets another 20 or so points from that. So the net is 24 - 18 + 30 + 20 = 56. That makes him a REALLY bad Anti-team player, even though he did what we consider poorly!! Now, if you have pick a player like, Stork, who likely won't be fielded much since he's now player coach and he's bad at the game... He might play 5 times, win 3 times--lose 2, and his team wins 15 times. That puts him at 6 - 2 + 5 + 15 = 24! A much better pick, and he's worth 4 too! All you need is 2x 4 point players and 1x 5 point player to make up the 13. It's in general a really poor idea to pick players who will be played each time, and also to go over the minimum for the Anti-team.
In my opinion, this is a sort of bad system, because it makes the Anti team selection a lot worse. It would be much better if you... - Gained 1 point for a player on your Anti-team being played - Gained 2 points for when they lost - Lost 1 point for when they won - Gained 3 points for when they lost an ace match - Lost 2 points for when they won an ace match etc. In other words, the inverse of what your normal team does, instead of the current system, which just subtracts the points they would normally make. This would allow for a much better and riskier Anti-team selection.
Alternatively, if the player weighting (1-9) had an influence over the Anti-team selection... So, if I picked Flash (9) and he lost 50% of his games (15 out of 30 for example), then you would get more points from him than if you picked Hush (3) and Hush went 50%/50%. That way, you get rewarded for picking the higher point players, since they are almost certainly going to get at least a 50% win rate......

I think you misunderstood me (or maybe I'm misunderstanding you). The way it's written now suggests that picking Zest, who played at a 9-point level throughout 2014, for your anti-team might be a good idea because he'll only perform as well as, say, a 7-point player. That's far from true. If you pick Zest and he performs like a 7-point player, your chances of winning are going down the toilet regardless of the fact that he seriously underperformed.

I came 20th in the first GSTL Fantasy League (dem qxc points aw yiss) and now it is time I recaptured my former glory.
Soundwave's Boyz
Main Team 2 BBoongBBoong 6 ByuL 4 Cure 9 Flash (captain) 1 Has 3 HerO 5 KT Rolster
Anti Team 3 Action 6 Stats 5 TaeJa
BBoongBBoong is an absolute steal for 2 points. He will surprise people.
ByuL is a good consistent performer for an okay cost.
Cure is meh in PL but I think his wave of momentum from last GSL will give him a boost and I think he's a point or two behind where he should be.
Flash for obvious reasons.
Has is a bit of an ambitious choice, but man oh man, that guy could prepare some whack as fuck builds, man. I can't wait to see what he brings out. He's only a one cost guy so it's not a big deal if this choice doesn't bear fruit.
HerO is a good 50/50 PL performer. I dunno how often he'll play or how he'll do, but I think for 3 points he's fine.
KT Rolster is the best team so I'll get lots of points from them.
Action is meh and he just stuck out to me. TaeJa won't play often and doesn't thrive in preperation bases formats, Stats is an overrated piece of poopy IMO.

Fingolfin
Main Team 4 Cure 4 Dream 7 Life (captain) 2 ParalyzE 4 sKyHigh 6 TY 3 MVP
Anti Team 6 Creator 5 TaeJa 2 TerrOr
I decided to use a different strategy for picking players this time. Instead of building around one team that I thought would do well, I tried choosing players that would get lots of appearances for their cost. Went Terran heavy due to current meta, with my lone protoss being paralyze (mostly so he can collect points for SKT winning) and my lone zerg being life, who seems like an absolute steal for 7 considering his form. Interested to see how this will work out.
For the anti-team I choose Taeja (because I can't yet believe he will perform in proleague, even if he is my favorite player) Creator because I think he's overvalued for 6 considering he's playing on Prime, and Terror because he is just bad (and plays on Prime)

I see. Thanks everyone for explaining the anti team. I replaced Life with Salvation.

I tried to get inside info on this to no success, if he's in Korea he's the only Protoss on STYoe other than Has. I'd take him if I knew for sure he will play.
