However, I am really worried that the amount of time needed to be put into all aspects of the game we know, all units and timings and fundamentally how we play, will change too much. Although what better time than ever to start imroving game fundamentals. I am very curious how maps are going to adjust with the new economical system. However, as things draw out now, everyone should be positive with the development and any doubts about the gameplay changes should be erased. If any UI/ingame-tournaments and longetivity changes are going to be announced, such as "buyable hats or ingame sounds", I hope this will be included in this thread too. There is almost no way of 12-worker max economy can work. The reason the BW economy worked was that taking extra bases was a reward but not a neccesity as it maxed out at around 28, but each extra worker contributed less. If the defensive player is forced to take bases much faster, then he will have to invest more into defense, which will make it almost impossible for him to invest into harass/offensive options simultaneously. Starbow experimented with a similar economy for a while and gameplay was absolutely terrible (it was Raven vs Swarm host level of turtle every game).

He even has the same "the end of all things" quote. I seriously hope he does show up in LotV. The whole Narud thing was a little disappointing, and Blizzard did remove the Stukov line where he said he recognized Narud's essence. Hopefully they ended up leaving him a separate character.

Obviously, it runs out faster, so i see where blizzard tries to go with this one but anyways O_o It might turn out all right. In BW, there was an incentive to keep expanding throughout the game. Most current SC2 games just go to 3-4 bases until 1 is about to run out. That already takes up 66 workers, including gas. It's very boring. The current meta is extremely stale. I could see them backtracking a bit with the starting workers.

That unit looks like something Dustin Browder has developed because there is no micro opportunities at all with it. Besides, most of the changes seem solid, and many of them share strong similarities to suggestions I myself have recommended. The tempest movement speed buff is good, but it also needs to get rid of its 15 range and put it down to 8 or something like that, and balance it around that. EDIT: Just saw that they want the cyclone to counter the lurker. Eh, isn't that a perfect opportunity to give the Siege Tank a clear role in the matchup and add an intersting interaction there? EDIT 2: Blizzard needs to understand that the reason the Swarm Host sucks is that it disencourages player vs player interaction. Having free units in the game that cannot really be microed and just needs to be avoided isn't funny. This unit still looks incredibly boring and I think it will turn out to be impossible to balance as well. EDIT 3: I still don't see any fun interaction coming out of the Corrupters new ability. Here is my suggestion: Give each Corrupter a very weak version of Dark Swarm with a low AOE and 50% damage reduction. The cost of this ability should be to reduce the HP of the Corrupter by 50. This could actually add a whole lot of utility to the Corrupter while making it very micro rewarding.
