- NO REAVER DDDD::::: What is the point of having extra micro potential with warp prism if NO REAVER - Cyclone looks like the a-move unit which makes micro brain dead. At least make it require some skill to use. | ||

The Herc is a cool idea but I just don't think it's gonna have enough of an impact to work in a game this large scale... but I could be wrong. Love tank change, thor change, banshee change is crazy but will have to see how it works. The BC change is insane/awesome ![]() Disruptor seems awesome, I think the stasis ward is PERFECT for protoss, it's gonna make non-colossus PvT more viable. No clue what to think about the carrier change. I like the economy change, but I'm curious what the exact reasoning behind the 12 worker start is... Intuitively I feel as if it will weaken some of terrans 2 rax proxy bullshit because even tho you can probably still do something like it, I think terran wont have as big of an edge since you wont be at that super low worker count where mules are like 25% of the economy ;d | ||

A complete overhaul, and that's exactly what we received. Cannot complain one bit. Obviously balance will suck for the first few months, but it'll all work out in the end. | ||

Also, 4 Mules will completely mine out a mineral patch on their own now. Scary stuff. | ||

Its designed to be constantly kiting so it will require constant babysitting, its the opposite of a a-move unit. Sure the micro involved is pretty simple but its still there. | ||

Tempest has not been nerfed, but i like that she works before, Tempest really are a imponent ship. Maybe even Immortal have been nerfed. Before, we can tank a planetary fortress. Now I think we will need more immortals to do that. AND, not buff another protoss units but buff Terran units and Zerg units it's like a Protoss nerf. But like I said, the game will be balanced with time, for sure. But now looks like IMBA. | ||

I think the new eco will make the game even faster paced. At the moment, a lot of games don't kick into action untill 12 minutes have past, and players tend to only need 3-4 bases maximum. The first problem could be fixed by reducing those extreme defensive options, but the fact that 3 bases is plenty can't be fixed that easily. And only needing 3 bases really encourages deathball play. Who needs a mobile, harass based army if all you need is 3 easily defended bases into an unbeatable army that will kill everything on its path. If you really need more bases, I think deathballs are going to be less viable since you almost have to split up your army. Also, agressive options like drops, blinkstalkers and even nydus (not even taking the insanely broken buff to it into account) will probably become much more viable when there are more bases. Also, I really like some of the new units. The herc looks like an amazing unit, I can already see myself hooking into mineral lines for some epic high skills harassment options. The moving shooting unit seems kinda...warhound-like OP atm. But a unit that can shoot while moving is always cool in my opinion. It seems like the unit that should make mech viable against protoss (also, the cool way of buffing the immortal should help a big deal with that aswell). Battlecruiser warp seems crazy at first, but well if it's a very high mana cost you can't really use it to harass anyways. So it's probably giving battlecruisers just slightly more mobility, which they really need anyways, plus it fits with the lore of the battlecruisers. The lurker is just amazing, The ravager seems cool. Kinda allows for micro instead of the wonderful amove roaches. The swarm host upgrade seems kinda weird at first, but I think the idea is cool. Swarm host because a light harassment option, rather than a turtle option. The flying locust isn't as insane as it seems at first I guess, because they still have to land to attack (ground to ground attack). Could be reaaaly imba against siege tanks though. Nydus worms are insane, nydus all ins would be unstoppable like that. Though I guess symbol is a happy man now. Probably won't make it into the final game. Protoss really got meh stuff. The disruptor could either be really cool, or the most gimmicky unit ever (I'm afraid it will be). I really hope protoss get another something, maybe even a warp gate unit with the nerf to warpgates. But I guess Protoss are the most all around race right now. Their reliable harassment options are really limited though, they still don't have the medivac drops or the zergling runbyes or the mutas, so maybe give them a new unit that can do something like that. Though, if the carriers end up being seriously viable and fun to use (which it seems like they'll be) then you could technically count that as a new unit aswell. Overall really happy though, but also sad that there are so many people still complaining. Especially the people complaining about balance, I mean we can't say much, if anything, about how the balance will end up. | ||

The big problem for me is that there's little to be added for Protoss. They have great harrassment with warp prism and great air units, great power units like the colossi/immortal/tempest, great micro opportunities with multiple spellcasters, great strategic possibilities overall. Adding to that could easily make the race way too good. For Zerg and Terran, strategies are much more boring and the new units could change that by a lot! | ||
