WCS AM will continue to include LatAm, Oceania/SEA, CN, and TW/HK/Macau, you can all stop freaking out about it. |

I'm going to Blizzcon, sneak into the main stage and hang a huge flag with the legend "SAVE THE KOREAN SCENE" a la Greenpeace activist.
Also when I'm rich I'm gonna host 5 $100k offline tournaments a year in Korea.
</nonsense> So... you want to sponsor sOs?

That's the best part about this thread. get me some hypothetical questions and i'll give you imaginary reactions. If Polt didn't exist, HuK actually has a chance of becoming the WCS NA champion. thats a hypothetical statement. Not a hypothetical question. If Polt didn't exist, what do players think about HuK actually having a chance of becoming the WCS NA champion? Scarlett would just fucking laugh. Huk can beat Scarlett though, it happens from time to time. From time to time, but definitely not offline: Under these filters, Scarlett is 8–0 (100.00%) in games and 4–0 (100.00%) in matches against HuK.

It could be a good thing if the Korean players were to be compensated. there is too much talent and too little money in Korea.

If I were to sign up for next season of WCS and Korean Style Four Warpgate All-In all game, every game, how would the current WCS players react?

Wouldn't it also theoretically motivate Scarlet more as well since suddenly she is the CLEAR favorite (assuming no Polt). Hell even with Polt she easily the 3rd best player with a massive gap after her.

Thank you based Blizzard. I have a tiny bit of hope in you again.

Tbh Scarlett is the favorite in my eyes (and not just cause i'm a huge fanboy) but she beats Polt, Major, and viOLet consistently.

The problem is that even if there were more Korean tournaments, they'd still be won by the best Koreans, so that does nothing to help the depth of talent below the top.

alot changes for wcs america i think but for europe not that much, as far as i know mc forgg all live here have visas etc

I'm curious to know what Blizzard's residency requirements are. Seems like a simple thing for teams that have Korean players consistently playing in the American and European regions to simply rent a flat or whatever, and have the players list their residence there.

Just don't give him a Pylon to go with it. I'd assume that'd make it a bit of a hazard to public safety.

Terrible. Korean scene is screwed now. They better announce that GSL prize pool is doubled from it's already higher prize pool and it's worth double points. Also this better mean that every single level of competition in these events is played in person like GSL. If well over half the tournament is still online and the region lock is literally just to get rid of koreans then that is just stupid.
|
I have a feeling that this can possibly backfire horribly.
|
This is a fucking travesty, in my opinion.

CLG SC2 team when????????????????

Yeah, no. You still have players from Australia to Taiwan to Canada in the same league. That's damned hard to offline.
