So lets see we got from what it looks 7 foreigners to advance we have group f aka wcs na s1 group b 2.0 we got liquid teamkill and we got the jd group of death +chinese player seems like wcs america!!!
A: Hyun, Arthur B: Alicia, Jim C: Polt, Oz (sorry JD, group of death) D: Pigbaby, Check E: Revival, Violet F: Heart, Scarlett (2nd group of death) G: Taeja, hero H: Major, Bomber
So - how many of the 9 NA players are going to make it to the RO16? I'm betting on two. And unfortunately I'm not betting that either of those two are my Canadian zergs. I really really hope I'm wrong about that though.

I haven't entirely stopped watching WCS NA out of frustration with Blizzard's policies, but nowadays I more often check out Copa America for the hometown heros. I'd highly recommend it. You get some awesome entertainers such as Catz and Desrow, as well as some excellent underrated players such as Hendralisk and Major.
Group A: Hyun + Arthur Group B: Alicia + Jim Group C: Polt + Oz Group D: Pigbaby + Illusion Group E: Violet + Revival Group F: Heart + Scarlett Group G: Taeja + Hero Group H: Bomber + Puck

I always think this is amazing given how good a player HerO is: he's lost in the RO32 in 3 of the 4 WCS NA that have taken place since he won the championship in 2013 S1. Fun fact: in two of those 3 RO32 losses, he lost to HuK.
Some other info that you guys might not have realized besides the liquid team kill is that. 1. Xigua was the player to eliminate hero in s1 of 2014. 2. Group F is a replica of Group B of S1 2014 except with the replacement of MaSa for Seed. 3.This is the 3rd time that HuK will meet Revival in WCS NA 2014 and he has a good record vs viOLet. 4.Jaedong always has 2 koreans + 1 taiwan/chinese player. 5.This is the 3rd time that NesTea and Alicia will meet in WCS NA 2014 GLHF :D!!!

They really need to randomize there groups better :p
WCS AM with mostly Koreans on round of 32 and probably almost no foreigner on round of 16. That's just not right.
It doesn't even make sense why Blizzard actually named WCS AM, or WCS EU. What's the point of the name if there's not some kind of region lock. Just name them all WCS and get this over with.
Starting to feel like tournament organisers intentionally pit Liquid players against eachother like at first it just happened then it kept happening and now they just do it intentionally.
Ouch Jaedong gettin matched up potentially vs his worst match up (ZvP) twice and we've seen his results the last three or four times vs Taeja (it's been a one sided slaughter usually) so I'd imagine if he faces Polt (another amazing terran) with this upcoming patch to buff Terran he'll prob lose there too. I can only hope I am wrong though because if he makes it out of his group I will scream for joy instead of feeling like I got punched in the gut watching him get rolled again.
I don't think it should be anti-Korean so much, they can't help Blizzard so much but what is very sad to me is, we will probably never have one NA matchup. It could even go "foreigner" all top 16. I root for Major but even if he wins he almost certainly will never face a NA player.
They could at least have a Korean bracket and NA bracket with the top from each facing in the finals, that would be sick. Maybe the NA guy would get blown out but at least he or she would have shown who the best in NA is before Korea gets its prize.
One other problem with no region lock is that you're also diluting GSL. GSL used to be the tournament where ALL the best Korean players attended. But now you have players like JD, TaeJa, Hyun, and Bomber playing in WCS AM, so what you get is almost-GSL in Korea, and GSL-Lite in WCS America.

After kespa switched it got kind of crowded down there. Quite frankly it's not fair that all korans should be playing in korea. The pro player density is so extreme, and to have them all fight over the WCS points scrappings down there would be ridiculous in the long run. Consider that the foreigners and koreans would meet up eventually in the season finals, and it would look silly. It would look like 1 half to 2 thirds of the players didn't actually belonged there.

The foreign skill level in NA is not close to European skill level.
The top foreigners can match with the Europeans, but the next level does not exist.
Here's hoping Captain America brings the title back home! #TeamPolt
