This is just a pretty simple message to let you know we've published a Replay Pack that includes WCS Season 1, and last season's Global Finals. In addition, we've created some Visual Builds to help break the ice and let you try some pro-builds right away!

We're also totally interested in your feedback, whether it addresses the replays themselves or the visuals we've accompanied them with. Thanks for always being so great, and I'll get back to my lurking now

I think if people are practicing and improving with these builds, it is worth it.

It is a basic visual guide for a build. Not a full on TL strat guide that does the same thing, then goes on about all the if statements. If you that much about it, maybe recommend to add a few words about the Oracle timing. Visual guide isn't meant to show every possible disruption and counter.

To be fair that's often a normal response when an oracle enters the base even if you do have some marines nearby.

Yeah, I don't think they're really meant to be incredibly detailed, perfect build orders/guides and stuff. Just seems like a nice thing that Blizzard included with the replays, to get a general idea about the builds used in the matches. It's hard to really account for everything in a visual like that.

It is really easy to find a thousand people who can tell you what is wrong with the world. But incredibly hard to find one person who will help you fix it.

I second some of the concerns with the build orders; even when cannon rushing you aren't supposed to go forge/cannon/gate/nexus, which is just a horrible build all around (easily updated with actual openings, see the PvZ guide we wrote last year). Other than that, nice job

so the build orders listed are not the same as the ones in the actual games?

I don't know wether they are, but if Zest when forge/cannon/gate/pylon/nexus then it's definitely not a standard build so i wouldn't follow that part. Other than that, at least the PvZ one looks cool. The TvP build is also reasonable but as Iaguz and Major pointed out it's not the best idea to move out blindly because of protoss early game tech (dt's/oracles etc).

Im pretty sure they made the builds for bronze players/new players to the game. Overly safe forge expand guide isnt the worst thing ever? If they're in a higher league they probably know about team liquid anyway and can find real guides.

I think you guys are reading to much into these pictures. They are nice BTW. These are clearly designed as a rough guide for newer players.
Head over to imba builds. They have at least two pages of writing for one build order. How are you going to fit all that into one picture?
These are quite nice I think, my friend is just starting starcraft (after years of telling him red alert is shit and starcraft is way better) I'll be giving him these.
