Hi guys,
This thread is to post whom you consider to be an underrated streamer, the one with less than 1000 live viewers.
The reason why I wanted to start this thread is to spread awareness for some of the active SC2 streamers. Please state why these streamers require more attention, and I will update this OP to make sure that these people get the recognition they deserve
Here's my submission:
Protoss Streamers:
Seed: http://www.twitch.tv/Seedfou
Features: Humor, Interactive, Fun Builds, Good Music
My blurb: + Show Spoiler +Seed is a former GSL champion with excellent interpersonal skills. Unlike other Korean streamers, he sometimes goofs around such as saying that he killed the Swarm Host family consisting of children, parents, and grandparents. Also, we get to see some very unique builds from him time to time. Finally, he is very interactive with his viewers such as allowing the viewers to suggest music for him. He even played the Rick Roll song during his ladder match.
Carbot (Yes, the man who makes the Starcrafts animation): http://www.twitch.tv/carbotanimations
DISCLAIMER: This suggestion is a bit tricky, because he doesn't stream Starcraft 2 constantly. However, there are a few perks that make him a fun streamer to watch.
Features: Humorous, Interactive, Fun Builds, Starcrafts Animator, WIFEBOT!
My blurb: + Show Spoiler +Carbot doesn't get a lot of viewers, but he is an awesome streamer to follow. He plays with his wife, who says some of the funniest and cutest things, time to time. He interacts with the chat a LOT, plays with fans, prepares fun builds, and at times shows how he animates his shows.
Zerg streamers:
SSanaEE: http://ko.twitch.tv/nshssanaee
Features: Good Music, Interactive
Yorkie's blurb: + Show Spoiler +He's a Korean zerg player formerly of New Star Hoseo and Soul (talk about bad luck with teams TT) who is very talented! He plays really good (imo) dubstep-style music and interacts with his fans in English in the chat between games. He ladders on KR and NA and works very hard. There was a brief time where he played a bunch of terran, just to see if he could make it to KR GM. Iirc he came pretty damn close, he may have made it not sure last I checked he was top masters. Unfortunately he barely lost to Balloon in the WCS AM Challenger qualifiers, but he is going to try again. Check him out!
ZergZingZing: http://www.twitch.tv/zergzingzing
Features: Humor, Interactive, Emma Watson
hellokitty[hk]'s blurb: + Show Spoiler +I like watching zergingzing stream he's a pretty good zerg player on lvd gaming with lots of Emma Watson. Good commentary and good music, plus funny mods and lots of interaction with twitchchat. He even sniped forgg and is responsible for about half of forgg's losses on NA.
ViBE: http://www.twitch.tv/vibelol
Features: Music (sorry, but the description gave me little to work with)
Son of Gnome's blurb: + Show Spoiler +I never see to many people watching ViBE's stream and I would def recommend it to people to check out. I'm not even a zerg player but he comes off a super relaxed and cool person that is pretty damn good. He also has good taste in music as well
BBoongBBoong: http://www.twitch.tv/jonghyukchoi88
Features: Fun builds
Skynx's blurb: + Show Spoiler +BboongBboong steams once in a while and it breaks my heart seeing less than 50ppl tuning in He plays really good and you ll see lots of non-meta wol like stuff. He still likes his infestors in zvt and usually gets them very early in zvz aswell. He has decent quality progressive house playin which impressed me a lot too.
Neuro: http://www.twitch.tv/neurostarcraft/
Features: Educational, Interactive
TRaFFiC's Blurb: + Show Spoiler +Neuro has an amazing and contagious attitude towards the game: he refuses to blame his loses on balance and is constantly analyzing his mistakes and learning. I've learned a huge amount just watching him this week. If you're a lower league player, he can teach you more than any gm.
He got nearly 700 1v1s this season alone. Streams 15+ hours per day. Usually spends several hours playing viewers and watching master and diamond players duke it out while analyzing the games.
Treznor's blurb: + Show Spoiler +I wanna vouch for Neuro aswell, I agree to all the above, imo every low league zerg should have his stream up all the time. His best best MU is zvp, so go there and learn how to beat that imba toss. Dont be freaked out by his special zen style , and the fact that he is playing topless "a little for the ladies maybe"
Terran Streamers:
laguz:http://www.twitch.tv/mfiaguz
Features: Educational, Humor
Nimix's blurb: + Show Spoiler +Iaguz's stream is really cool, he usually explain what he does and why, why he loses, he reads chat, answer questions, and is really funny. He's terran and streamed basically daily for a long while, didn't see him in a few days but could be because he didn't stream at EU times.
dzerzhinsky: http://www.twitch.tv/dzerzhinsky
Features: Scottish, Educational
slytown's blurb: + Show Spoiler +Dzerzhinsky is a Scottish terran from DeadlyGaming. He plays long mech/sky games against all races, so be prepared for fewer games per stream, but he's gotten very good at the ultra-macro style and even gets some protoss to ask "how do I beat that?!" He plays music but also provides commentary with his delightful scottish-lilt.
Byzantium: http://www.twitch.tv/byzantiumsc
Features: Educational
JanDe's blurb: + Show Spoiler +I think this guy is really good. GM, not really a pro but I regard as better to learn from guys like this until you reach decent level instead of watching code s guys and dont understand a thing.
Random Streamers:
Balloon: http://www.twitch.tv/startale_balloon
Features: Interactive, Educational, Random!!!!
HighdraL1sk's blurb: + Show Spoiler + He is Korean, does commentary in VERY GOOD English and oh yea, did I mention he plays Random and is GM in Korea! Balloon is super Legit and a really cool person, you guys should definitely check out his stream, hes been streaming a lot lately
joshie0808's blurb: + Show Spoiler +I vouch for Balloon too! His english is so good like 2-3x better than Polts, nonstop commentary Heromarine style, plays random so you get to watch every match up, GM on NA and KR.
Also, feel free to post here, if you know one of the people on this list are streaming. That way, we can remind the community that someone special is streaming for us!
Please spread the love for these hard-working individuals <3

Cool idea for a thread! My submission is SSanaEE! He's a Korean zerg player formerly of New Star Hoseo and Soul (talk about bad luck with teams TT) who is very talented! you should make a list on original post linking the streams with a drop box explaining why you should drop by. also by race

Yo sup everyone. ZergZingZing I like watching zergingzing stream he's a pretty good zerg player on lvd gaming with lots of Emma Watson. I have to put my dude balloons stream on this. http://www.twitch.tv/startale_balloon (plays for MyInsanity now) He is Korean, does commentary in VERY GOOD English and oh yea, did I mention he plays Random and is GM in Korea! Wintersc put his link in chat so viewers still watching would all migrate to a random stream with low viewers, and hes actually really entertaining
|
Didn't Balloon reach Top1 GM on NA with random? That is so incredibly impressive.
edit:
|
Ok here's my list:
Neige Korean GM Terran with ~72% ladder win rate at the moment, former Jin Air and AZUBU player. http://www.twitch.tv/sherry0226
Sacsri Korean GM Zerg, former SK Telecom T1 player. http://www.twitch.tv/sacsri
I was going to list Balloon and SSanaEE too but they are already in OP's post so I didn't list them here now.
Very high level players and they deserve to get much more viewers than they get. Both streams have high video quality and Neige has a webcam too. I think Sacsri gets something around 100-300 viewers (probably because he's featured yay) but Neige gets barely any viewers when he streams and he's not featured. Neige is easily one of my new favorite streamer and I really hope his stream will be featured too at some point. I'll probably update my list in future if any other streamers come to mind later.

Quick all unfeatured streamers have your friends link your stream here 4 u!!!
Twitch.tv/future_sc pretty mellow Protoss player who plays pretty competently
|
Good idea for a thread, personally I reccomend SSanaEE as well, he's sick good. If you play zerg, he's the player to watch.
I'd also say Balloon who rocks as well, but he managed to find a solid team that will support him, so between the two I'd rather support SSanaEE since imo he's more talented and has a terrible luck with teams.

Haha, sorry about that, WinterSC happened to bomb my stream. www.twitch.tv/zlfreebird/b/522474790?t=8h56m15s < link to the vod
|
Balloon is one of the best streamers imo Only what's lacking is race whining haha
|
http://www.twitch.tv/sacsri Sacsri. He always has around 200 viewers but he's top GM KR as a Zerg. And he's streamed in high quality and stuff, definitely underrated stream.
|
I've been seeing Center stream a bit more often. Can't write a good in-depth article as I've only watched him a few times but he seems to a good player. interacting with viewers etc. I hope these ex TSL/Azubu/Soul/WJS guys get a team :O
|
twitch.tv/rsvpsc2
My all-time favorite streamer, now focusing no starbow. P and Z. Calm, intelligent, explains his choices. It's always a delight to see him approaching a new expansion (or, in this case, starbow).
|
Masters Protoss Deadzerg http://www.twitch.tv/deadzergsc2
Making my transition to learning the Protoss race easy with the amount of experience and knowledge of this stream; he does analysis of professional games which have helped and is always interesting to listen to. If you take a look at his bio on twitch, there's a huge resource of notes which is a bit more in depth than TL Strat's Protoss Help forum.

<3 I am glad I could help. I will be streaming more over the summer; school has been crazy lately.

HTOMario. Some of the most innovative mech styles, yet this guy tops out at 70-100 viewers on average and is not featured.

He was briefly #1 KR GM and is now #2 I believe. He is crazy good, and has a low viewer count. Can't say much about his audience interaction though
|
I'm a really big fan of ROOTIllusion!
http://www.twitch.tv/illusionsc
He is top GM yet only gets like 50-200 viewers on stream. Avilo gets like 500+ every time!
Illusion has a lot of potential and I think more people should watch him to motivate him to keep his garlic bagel loving ass to play more!!
Check out his stream!!!!!!
|
Kr GM with commentary? That's insane.
edit: watched a VOD. I recommend him too now.
BaloonOvation ftw
|
Whenever you can catch him, Kane is great. Constant commentary, great attitude, no kpop and often at #1 GM.
http://www.twitch.tv/kanesc2
Also, BeastyQT has the best commentary and music around but he hasn't been on consistently lately. He's probably my favorite. Was proxy thor rushing at top 50 EU GM last I saw
http://www.twitch.tv/beastyqt
|
I also vouch for Balloon... I decided to randomly watch his stream a week ago when I saw him featured and its been love ever since. hes a big fan of ice creams
|
I definitely think that KoMA is very underrated. He streams slightly sporadically, but his gameplay is extremely solid playing with about a 300 apm average, qualifying for Challenger League last season, and being one of the top Terran players on NA ladder. I usually see him with about 100 - 200 viewers and he definitely deserves more!
|
vibe and NAMSHAR! namshar is a swedish zerg, super cool guy with a great stream, always speaks about his decisions and style and stuff
|
Lowko! He makes awesome zerg tut vids and his stream is usually extremely entertaining. Also, he interacts with the chat a lot, and is quite knowledgeable.
|
Nony. He is streaming more consistently now that he is playing competitively again. He usually only averages around 300 viewers, which seems insane to me because when he is on his game, he can beat some pretty high level people *cough*Jaedong*cough*. You can learn a ton from his stream. He also has one of the few tolerable Twitch chats in existence.

Since I'm a terran, I'll big up my two buddies Gamegene and Dzerzhinsky.
Dzerzhinsky is a Scottish terran from DeadlyGaming. He plays long mech/sky games against all races, so be prepared for fewer games per stream, but he's gotten very good at the ultra-macro style and even gets some protoss to ask "how do I beat that?!" He plays music but also provides commentary with his delightful scottish-lilt.
http://www.twitch.tv/dzerzhinsky
Gamegene pops back and forth between BroodWar and SC2. He's always been top masters and learns builds from koreans. He's also provided interviews for the TL communtiy with famous players.

If Dzerzhinsky simply has an image of a dwarf where webcams normally are then I'm sold.
He also has to say "they came from... behind!" whenever he uses tanks.
He also has to call banshees gyrocopters.
Actually, scratch all three, I'll just play hearthstone and have the dwarf voice welcome me into the inn.

i swear i didn't put him up to it PROMISE

Dude, this Balloon guy is damn awesome.
|
Hendralisk. On complexity. Just started streaming again. WCS challenger league. Twice WCG canadian representative. Overall awesome zerg that commentates and is more awesome than awesome can be. Everyone likes henryZ!
Koma. On complexity. Over 300apm. Terran from bumfuck canada. Biceps of a greek god. Renamed Bicepeus. Great to watch, and his playlist is always good. Funny guy.
Illusion. On root. Not always standard play, with very timing/micro oriented play. Good chill music. Has a lot of BIG FANS! And is always asked if he's the real illusion or not. Another great TvZ player. Also WCS challenger league. He's been streaming a LOT recently, damn near scheduled per day.

journey former skt1 player. Its a hardsell for me but since he is no longer SKT I feel better about spotlighting him. Terran player, not too much on interaction verbally though from chat interaction his english seems better than average. I saw him peak at like 26 on kr gm right now hes somewhere in the 30s.
Bio guy, really fast player, all over the place, great drop player. Reminds me of mma.

Someone email this guy he needs a team. How many teams can pass up someone this good? His stream isnt revolutionary but who gives a fuck hes that damn good. Too bad Total Biscuit doesnt need terrans. ;-D Acer maybe?

That doesn't mean anything, it was the beginning of the season. Any gm rank 1-50 towards the end of the season or whoever gets lucky and plays well for a stretch in the beginning can be rank 1 momentarily.

I vote for Deadzerg too. He does really great replay analysis, comments on his mistakes after his games, very knowledgeable! he has written 3 excellent Builds Of The Week for allthingsprotoss, and loves Zest <3

High masters Protoss on NA and KR, player/coach of Solaris Gaming, Padre. http://www.twitch.tv/dgitpadre
He provides good commentary, plays a lot of Nujabes, and is just a really great guy in general. I am biased because he has helped me and several lower league friends with practice and advice, asking nothing in return. He streams a lot of KR games in addition to NA.
Currently, he has 7 viewers. :-/

I doubt an entire thread dedicated to "STOP LIKING THINGS I DON'T LIKE!" would be in any way productive.
There have been many interesting remarks regarding the idea of the "dislike" or "thumbs down" button on various modern websites. The point which ties all those arguments together is that how many people dislike/are not interested in something is not a relevant metric, only the number of people that like/are interested in it. I'd tend to agree with that assessment.

Dude freaking Sacsri is completely underrated. He streams quite late around 12am, 1am on EST time, but he is a zerg player and is currently TOP 16 GM ON KOREA LADDER. That guy literally plays a GSL match every time he hits the ladder, yet I only see him have top 100 to 200 viewers. Completely underrated in my opinion.
|
I like watching NeuroSwarm.
Aside from missing his damn shirt, he's a pretty good streamer and his commentary is usually very on point, and has kept it on point. Great advice for all players from bronze to plat region, IMO. I'm from a community of master-level chess players and have been watching what types of study and attitude get you to the top- neuro fosters that attitude in players.
As mentioned above, his attitude is perfect- find quantifiable mistakes, identify, and correct. Never bitches, moans, complains, and is perfectly good-mannered. Ideal opponent and teammate.

Hey guys,
Check out the current best Random Player in the world (Balloon!):
http://www.twitch.tv/startale_balloon
Also, please tune in and help Balloon reach his $3000 goal to go to Dreamhack! :D
You won't be sorry, because he's a great guy to interact and watch.
|
Iaguz in my mind. He explains a lot of things, so the stream is very informative.
|
I usually don't like spamming posts like a TL noob, but there are some things to be noted:
First of all, if you have a suggestion, please provide the twitch.tv link, so I can update it to the OP.
Second, some of the descriptions are unfortunately very weak. I want every good streamer to have a chance in the spotlight, but I am not omniscient and would have to rely on you guys for the selling points. So, whenever you suggest someone, pretend that you are representing this person and do your best to find very good stuff that would persuade an uninformed viewer to check out the stream. Look through some of the blurbs on the OP to see what I am looking for.
Finally, if you see one of the listed streamers streaming right now, please post this thread and spread the love!
I have updated some of the entries. I will do the rest soon (TM).

Gamer Richy guys, hes a really good coach and a really entertaining streamer, he coaches on gathering of noobs channel and always has time to help people out, I highly recommend his stream if your a Terran player, especially if your struggling, ask whatever you need to ask he always interacts with the chat.

So this /boppo guy is streaming right now and his FPS look INCREDIBLE! Why the hell can't tournament streams duplicate this quality?
+ Show Spoiler +Yes, I realize he was spammed on the first page. I got suckered in and clicked, but his stream is super smooth and I'm wondering why tournaments can't replicate that?
