Or what do you mean? No matter what you say now, the unit or ability, concerning the control needed to make it work, is never as good/effective as Fungal was. Or other "stuff" that is still in the game, but will get me banned if I mention it. So please say, what was so terribly imba about terrans? Bunker Build time against hatchfirst (yeah, that was not the greedy zerg's fault), or maybe emp? Yeah, I guess that's it. EMP was clearly imba. Never really killed a unit besides if you have backup units... compared to storm or fungal. This discussion would be endless because of how much a unit costs, which level of tech it requires, how much you could produce at once etc (here, Zerg leads by far with larva mechanics). There are free units, powerful energy attacks (storms, emps) etc, strong hellion timings/cheeses etc. But I am interested in where terran was imba, i mean really imba and not just "not yet figured out by now" On April 23 2014 22:28 SC2Toastie wrote: You ever tried winning with 11/11? It's pretty easy to hold of even if you scout it late. Blink is not hard to pull of, and WAY harder to defend. and not only in ladder but in LOTS of progames I have seen a successfull transition out of it. It is not cheese, cause if cheese isn't successfull, you lose. It is an early aggression with 80% winrates in some tournaments and also if it fails it has a cool exit strategy. And pls tell me again how that 80% are worse than bunkerrush... Btw "my level" refers to: i tried that from silver to diamond: how much APM do I really need for the win, how much thinking is involved, how much meta is involved and how much harassement while attacking or defending etc. But while Terran might be the hardest race until diamond (without cheese, without allins etc), I still won't say it is the weakest, cause competing at the very highest level is different and hard for any race. Though there is a reason where that skill level is reached sooner with non Terran races. Doesn't mean they are "easier", more that they don't have the opportunity to be pushed that far with multitasking/harassing etc. Ofc you can multidrop with toss or zerg (why don't u guys use some baneling drops with overlords in midgame? It is simple and if done at 2 or 3 bases at once you always get 20-30 workers ezpz?) but it is not figured out or doesn't fit into the game/meta yet. So terran might be hardest, but also for other races it might be, that it is very hard to reach the VERY top, because after you reached some level you cannot go farther for some time

For instance Blizzard making swarm hosts more relevant. Sort of helps when you've been practicing that kind of utility as well, no? Because that's exactly what Stephano was practicing a while ago when he was streaming and not necessarily competing, no? Come on now.

People don't just get bored of their job and quit, especially when it's an incredibly convenient and well paying one. There was much more to it then that. Regardless if Stephano got bored of the game or not, nobody in their right mind, especially someone smart enough to plan for the future and decide to go to University to study medicine, will just wake up and decide they no longer wan't to make money and feed themselves simply because they are "bored". That's not how life works kid. I don't know how old you are or how many jobs you've had in your lifetime but if you ever are given the opportunity at something so incredibly rare as being a highly payed Pro Gamer, I certainly hope you don't ever give it up simply because you get bored of it for a few months.
