You realize what you're saying is literally the opposite of what most people praise about this game? On February 26 2014 01:48 Naphal wrote: (graphic bugs yay) Good thing it's still in beta! See, not having chat rooms in SC2 was a problem because SC2 has gamemodes and custom maps that let you play with lots of people. Why exactly should this functionality exist in a game that is decidedly 1v1 and nothing more? I mean it wouldn't hurt if it did, but to be honest it's far less relevant than it was in, say, SC2, where you actually might want to organize team games or fun nights with UMS but couldn't do that within the game itself. And as an addendum, I sincerely wonder how many of the people who say "oh it has less depth than MtG" have actually played MtG at any point in their lives. Not because it's false or anything, but it seems like people just regurgitate this over and over again as if it's some super important point that should prevent people from caring about this game. Guess what, my good friend? LoL has arguably less depth than DotA. Do you see how big it is? Hell, SC2 has less depth than Brood War, why should it have an esports scene when a superior game already exists? ![]()

So from their perspective I understand including it. I agree with your comments on how crappy it's polish is though.

A game in beta still has bugs (how extremely surprising and appalling), therefore its polish is crappy, even though it is visually and stylistically more impressive than literally every other big CCG/TCG out there. I'm sorry what?

LoL has a giant crew and is reworking and tuning the entire game in an, for a starcraft fan, enviable manner, it actually proves my point that great support and continuous work helps a game grow a lot, something blizzard could definitely learn from currently. a BW without the flaws of an aged game, masterfully reworked, might bomb sc2 out of existence, but as is, no chance i am afraid.

You implied that HS should not have an esports scene because it is objectively an inferior game to Magic. I retorted that SC2 should not have an esports scene because it is objectively an inferior game to Brood War. Using the same logic. It has nothing to do with popularity, just game mechanics and design, and as a direct result skill potential. But whatever, I see you're not a fan of critical thinking in general so I'm done arguing in this thread. Keep believing whatever you want to believe.

I'm sorry what? There's several gamebreaking bugs that have been there for quite some months (minion switching, cards stacking, floating minions etc). Graphical glitches are everywhere. Magic Sprites keep disconnecting me during arena runs. They patch balance patches but not bug fixes. By far the worst quality I've seen from Blizzard. Still a very fun game nontheless and I like playing it.

If they don't clean this shit up before release, sure, I'll happily concede, but until then it's unreasonable to say "by far the worst quality" when WoL itself was plagued with just as bad if not worse issues, even for a short while after game launch.

Keep believing whatever you want to believe. i said HS does not deserve the same prize pool, especially for half the amount of players, the rest is your wishful reading, i also greatly dislike your attitude that starts with "my good friend" and ends with unfounded insults against my capacities of thinking, well better keep it civil.

If anything I could even argue Hearhstone deserves more by that metric, but that would be stretching it a bit and I'm sure some narrow-minded people with tunnel-vision would be quite upset if I did. ![]()
