Well, my assumption was based on previous games. Don't even remotely like nani.

It's primarily the fact that warp gate cooldown isn't longer than gateway build times, making there be absolutely no trade-off between building from your gateways and warping in at the front. This makes Protoss need weird countermeasures to achieve anything resembling a defender's advantage, outside of the fact that they usually are holding a ramp on one base.
The other problem is the cohesion between chargelots and colossi is too smooth. Chargelots slam into each other from an equal distance and form a line, which is the worst shape to be in if you don't want to get slaughtered by colossi beams. As much as players are gravitating more towards that chargelot-archon-immortal composition in macro PvPs, the colossi tends to win out in the truly massive 200v200 engagements, so games that don't end by the midgame tend to drag out into war-of-the-worlds-styled splash damage slugfests.

Last time I checked, gateway cooldown was longer than warp gates, 5-7 second I think.

yep, that's what he said. "warp gate cooldown isn't longer than gateway build times", just reversed order from what you said . Think that's a great point, especially since the buildings can transform back and forth. Wish gateway times were faster than warp gates but adjusted so proxy 2 gates weren't instant wins , would make sticking on gateways a decision and something to consider when scouting. Something like building up a timing, switching to warpgate for frontline reinforcement or harass and then back to gateways for perfect macro.
edit: forgot to mention congrats to stardust . And also that PvP isn't as bad, for me at least, as before. Especially a very long game a while back of Grubby, think it lasted around 50 minutes. Lots of different types of harass, composition switches and think we even saw every unit in the game employed throughout the last 20-30 minutes.
