I always knew posture and desk height were important, but for a long time I operated on the false assumption that you should do what is comfortable for you. Recently I learned how to type and how important it is to type with your keyboard on the edge of the table. This is the most widely circulated typing posture diagram on the internet referred to by MDs themselves.

Indeed, it appears Jaedong is following this diagram religiously. Check out those perfect 90 degree angles in his elbows. It seems most gamers also play with the same angling of the elbows and wrists. Also, notice how top of his screen is at or slightly below eye level.

My question is are the desks at tournaments all a set height/made by certain companies? Or do players just adjust their chairs? It would be great if someone who frequents tournaments could answer this.
This picture of Maru makes it seem like shorter gamers might have a problem. He's way too short for the desk. I have to wonder if he actually plans on playing like this!

Is this day 9 daily http://day9.tv/d/Day9/day9-daily-252-secrets-of-hotkeys-apm-and-mouse-movement/ Day 9 says to play with your wrist pivot on the edge of your desk. There seems to be some controversy on this subject. Is this the best way? The general consensus from watching pros play is YES. Should the keyboard also be on the edge of the desk or a few inches away from the edge? Demuslim appears to prefer the latter. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/820/qahk.png/ His elbows are slightly angled up and his keyboard is a few inches from the edge of the desk. Coincidence? I don't think so.
How about resting the keyboard hand while playing? In this rather hilarious TL topic the opinions seems divided. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=310871 on whether the keyboard hand should be resting or not. Losira definitely has his keyboard hand hovering and also leaves it a few inches from the edge of his desk.
Flash rests his wrist on the table and lets it floats when he needs to reach hotkeys. He also has his arms angled slightly less than 90 degrees, like Demuslim.

I think a comprehensive guide is lacking on how to make a proper gaming set up. It's not like this kind of thing hasn't been researched. I'm sure the Korean gaming houses have been using the same set ups successfully for years.
Edit: if anyone knows how to make pics appear instead of links pm me.
